Are the Dragon Age spin off novels and comics officially considered canon by Bioware

The events of the novels are canon, at least in broad strokes. The comics follow Bioware's default canon, so specifics will vary. However, the lore revealed in them is still canon as far as I know.

The comics are canon too. During a party banter Varric reveals to Iron Bull that he met the new Arishok.

If he got thrown at the Archdemon...uhh, I don't know.

I'm going to guess Stroud, just because he's also the guy who shows up in DA2 if neither Loghain nor Alistair are Wardens.
