I am basing this off the current and we are aware that two possible squadmates may be Cora who is suspected to be an Asari, and Dreck, a Krogan. There will be possibly seven members in total, and I am guessing we will have 2-3 human members and one Salarian and one Turian (these are only my thoughts, please do not Ramsey Snow me).

Rarely do I state an interest in my hopes for a romance as I usually prefer to leave it to Bioware to create them. But I am actually hoping a female turian romance. I do have a self-admitted weakness to romances between two people who can overcome racial and cultural boundaries and find peace with each other. Why I am hoping a turian romance, I do not know why but I just find it to be an interesting aspect of human-turian relationships similar to femshep and Garrus.

No mandatory BioWare boring human male.

No obvious not-Tali or not-Garrus showing up.

lets just get rid of the sex scenes entirely. It's been nearly a decade, I think it's time to give up on a lost cause.

Probably two humans (Guy & Girl) an Asari, a Krogan, a turian, a quarian/slarian/drell and a New species. Then have one of the humans get seriously injured (Which one is injured is somehow dependant on your class like in DA2, or your gender like ME1, or your choice) and have them confined to desk duty (Crew Romance) and give me another New Alien squadmate. Do not make the whole darn squad romancable, let my guy smooch the pilot or the doctor or reception... err "Communications Officer" or something.

I want more colour choices this time !!! not just a blue one and a "beige" one (and one you never actually get to see, hmmm)  ... But how about a Green one, and a Red one? And maybe a Purple or Yellow one?

Dare I suggest Tentacles? FISTO, cousin to BLASTO as a LI?

Of course all the males must be the image of a Greek Adonis, and all the Females must have big b ... erm ... Intellects. ;)

I am not at all interested in this 'rumor' or going to another galaxy, but I am all for discovering more interesting dynamics of human-turian relationships.

I think we're guaranteed to have romanceable humans of both genders, an Asari, and at least 2 other alien squadmates of returning races. Probably 1 human male(boring), 1 human female(bitchy), a sultry Asari(yummy), a Krogan curmudgeon(Shepard.), a young and spirited female Salarian(slimy) or Drell(nomnomnom), a stern male Turian(fangirls' squeals) and a new race, native to the Andromeda galaxy.

I'd personally prefer there to be 8/9 squaddies.
2 human I'd presume, hopefully one of those a blonde female li.
Turian female, Salarian male, quarian male, Krogan male, Asari

Fewer rather than more.

If 'evil' characters are present, intelligent and well written dialogue by the protagonist to put them in their place. That's been a significant problem with recent BioWare games.

Powerful and intimate conflicts with strong resolutions.

Attractive characters, both male and female.

'Cuddly' and 'giggly' scenes in moderation. And never used as a substitute for actual plot.

Characters who react to the inevitable violence of the story with more 'realism,' for lack of a better word. No characters giggling over being shot at or killing people.

If at all possible, inexperienced characters being respected more by the story and gameplay. I'd prefer not to have characters pick up a gun for the first time and be a totally awesome badass who guns down a dozen veterens. Unfortunately, that's incredibly difficult to do in gameplay, but it's something I'd like nonetheless.

Female Turian and a badas Batarian is a must.

A heavy breathing Volus always and simple minded but overly motivated Vorcha totally goin nuts on the battlefield would be awesome.

And of course at least one squadmate of a new Andromeda species.

I don't know what the story is....so I don't know about the crew. If it's an actual expedition into the unknown as the rumors state, then I want several scientists (that includes the space jock Neil Armstrong types too though). And if the rumors are true about a human centric angle, then I don't care about too many aliens. It's not like I have another galaxy to unite.. or I'm fighting to preserve some ideal democratic system. Or is that what I'm going to be doing again?

Actually, thinking about it a bit more ... BW could really set the bar in ME:N if they incorporated a "gender selection" mechanic. Not like a character creator, but a  "companion gender" choice, where you can pick between 1 "male" and 1 "female" of each species to add as a companion.

Looking back over the trilogy, I could see having say, Garrus Vakarian ... or ... Nyreen Kandros as a comp choice. So if you like tapping birdies, you could choose Garrus or Nyreen because they both happened to be assigned to the investigation, you can then choose which one you prefer to talk to, whether you are  Femshep or Broshep, and that one will join your crew, and perhaps be an LI.

Or perhaps even swap other similar characters, with ajdusted intro stories of course,  like Kaiden <-> Samara ... Thane<->Kasumi. Even Wrex/Grunt <-> Bakara (Eve) You could (almost) do that with the Original Trilogy without too many glaring inconsistencies, so if it were planned out in advance? Not saying it would be perfect but you could easily "headcanon" out the small discrepancies.

You could have the "joining" happen in different ways ... "Male" version/character will join you on "x" planet or "x" mission and if you refuse the 'female" version will join you on "y" planet or "y" mission shortly thereafter.

Squadmates that openly oppose you. Make the wrong decision and they stab you in the back, game over. (like a super fast interrupt you can never see coming, so it equals death at least the first time it happens)

A liar... a backstabber that works with you all game long only to sabotage you in the end.

An ugly woman.

A guy who hates the gym.

Tune in again tomorrow for another episode of 'stuff that'll never happen'

Well, for starters, it would require the developers to go through twice of work of creating characters. That's a massive investment of work. If any of these characters play a role in the story or have missions involving them, they have to be significantly reworked or even replaced. Entire story arcs and critical themes could and would collapse because they simply don't function when characters are swapped out.
