I'd already activated the beacon, the distress call had been sent...nobody is coming. Most of my squad was dead...and soon I'll join them I thought. The husks were surrounding me...fast, Our CO, Ra'Saar vas Govum, had drawn them away momentarily so we could get to better cover, we got there but it didn't matter. Only Me, Ceralo Laevilin, Urdnot Sordak, & Di'ra Corlitari remained. All the gunfire, all the shots, all the noise...they suddenly stop as I popped out of cover. I believe it's because a cannibal had just shot a grenade at my feet sending my team flying through the air. I was bleeding, I crawled over to Ceralo...he was dead, his gun not far from his body. I was not under fire so I lifted him upon my shoulder, using his Maddock as a crutch. Urdnot Sordak was rolling around, I couldn't hurry though, my leg had shrapnel in it and my stomach is bleeding heavily. Tough, Krogan bastard jumped up like nothing had damn happened, he had a flustered look on his face...he started flinging rubble through the air, I try to stop him, I put Ceralo down and I started shaking him, shouting at him "STOP! STOP! STOP!". Only when I see what's under the rubble did I understand. Di'ra is under there she didn't look dead, I think she was screaming, I couldn't tell though because of the whole deaf thing. Even though I was deaf I could tell what Sordak was telling me "Help me you pompous Turian <Expletive deleted>!". I started digging her out, she was screaming for the Goddess I think. When a goodly bit of the rubble had been removed I dragged her out, she was bleeding...badly. Our medic, Orpin Baebani, had been torn apart by a Brute three blocks back, the only thing left of him was his medi-gel. I administered some to the wound and she stopped screaming, I administered a minuscule amount to myself, even though the bleeding had all but stopped. All that noise had attracted some attention, we moved Di'ra behind some rubble and got ready to make a last stand. A ship flew overhead, we tried to get it's attention by shouting and waving at it. The shuttle continued to fly, a husk had sneaked up on me and was clawing at my throat, Sordak picked it up and threw it at an oncoming Marauder. I heard loud rumbling, saw a rock fall from an adjacent building then...nothing. Three days later I woke up on the war-torn Ascension, they told me the Crucible had worked thanks to Shepard, the Reapers were dead...the Crucible had been re-written by Shepard to not target all synthetics but merely the Reapers. She was the reason any of us are alive.

Now I live on the Citadel once more an old Turian, living in the same apartment complex as the two soldiers who made sure I lived to see today.

This is in honor of all the soldiers that died fighting to destroy the Reapers.
