Yep. Butthurt is the furthest thing away from how I'm feeling. I've been cracking up so much over it the last few days.

 

Speaking purely hypothetically here. Let's say two people are having some back and forth on a forum. One of them takes an impersonal remark personally, starts calling the other person names, digs deep into their copy of Pejorative Rhetoric for Dummies, and dredges up some disagreement that happened over a year before. Which one is (still) doing the weeping?

 

But maybe I should let him off the hook before he does himself an injury with all that twisting and spinning.

The main problem is that forum posts miss the tone of voice. Unless you know the other poster passably well, you don't really know how to interpret their messages. I don't think Mark's butthurt (what a silly word btw), he was just arguing logically in a thread that was all about "funny" comments and trolling.

 

To be honest, there are a few people on here who impress me with their humor and intelligence, but you are not one of them. I don't dislike you, I just don't think you're clever or funny. I guess you're just having fun but you look like a jerk most of the time.

 

I don't know Mark all that well either, he may be on my friendslist but we only played like two games so far... mostly because I'm terrible at this whole being social thing.

 

What I'm trying to say is that threads like that usually end with both sides looking bad one way or another.

Umm....having played with more than my fair share of ******* BSNers I can say that most are completely different in game than on BSN. A lot of people that I couldn't stand on BSN actually turn out to be really cool people. A lot of stuff just doesn't translate...........

Third, it'll be even more amusing to watch the whole bunch of you try to apply majority vote control to the way the Internet works.

Oh, dear gods, I hope not. We still have over 30 pages to go for the win. I'm worried about b00g13 though, he's obviously flagging already, and I thought he'd be good for at least a week. But if he accepts QMR's offer of help it'll go a long way yet.

 

BTW, I want to revise my answer in post #7 about the smartest thing. The smartest thing I've ever seen on BSN was Dala Kaar starting thins thread - on pure instinct.
