Alchemists don't throw flasks they drink them, the radius is your tummy.
I think jamdjedi meant elemental mines.

Things get crazy when I'm on my third elixir.
Reaver is squishy, if you don't have necessary gear and promotions. A reaver with a healthy amount of cunning and constitution absolutely steamrolls factions in perilous. The more damp progressed, more players got superb hok, sulevin blade, health belt, the more I understood why dragon rage had to be nerfed with rampage. But we are talking about a minority of players that have all that.
Definitely can be frustrating for someone entry level.
how bad was the nerf?
how much con and cun is a healthy amount?
i ask cuz im going from full health to 10% back to full health.repeat
it is frustrating.

Been playing the Katari on and off for a while (turned level 20 a few hours ago); the brute is my favored melee class, however he just seems like a glass cannon when it comes to ranged mobs attacking him. Could someone give any tips or tricks as to how to deal with this? When playing threatening, the archer Venatori and Ethereal Spirits (cant remember their name) simply smash through my guard in two hits.
How are people finding the 3 new classes balancewise? I´ve only toyed around with Bela (3 promotions) and am finding her superior to assassin in almost every way.
Avvar sucks. People with 100+ promotions can sing his praises all they want, but losing your entire guard that took 5 mins to build to 1 sword attack on threatening is pretty damn bad. Isabela is great, though strangely I have a preference for the alchemist now after the buffs. ZITHER! deserves his caps lock.
I don't get it.
My Avaar isn't invincible, but he doesn't die more often than anyone else. Build up block, not aggro. Use all the AoE attacks and guard abilities you have. Presto.
I think the problem of coincidentally ALL the 2H classes being initally viewed as squishy, derives from decades of videogaming telling you a warrior is by default build to tank hits with his sheer presence. Well, in Dragon Age, without a shield, they aren't.

My Avaar isn't invincible, but he doesn't die more often than anyone else because I have a pet keeper/virtuoso. snip-

FTFY
That's because they ARE squishy. If you have to hide in corners and run away from enemies, what's the point of being a warrior? Might as well play rogue, hiding is what they're supposed to be for is it not? I'm not asking for every warrior to have walking fortress, but at least some decent guard generation would be nice. The Katari (post buff) strikes a fine balance- with proper specs and skill, your guard generation can exceed the damage it takes. Not so with the avvar. Some small and situational DR is no subsitute.

If you bring avvar into a private solo match and try your best no
Because a warrior shouldn't lose all their guard and some health to a stray arrow, unless your being babied by mage barriers Avvar is softer than a sneaker atm in perilous.
Obviously I'll get criticized for saying so, but I've solo'ed Perilous with the Avvar with the lastest build. I can't kill dragons solo, but regular commanders are eaten up as their henchmen feed my Life Drain.
Weakest classes for me? Avvar, and Alchemist.
I agree Avvar survivability is an issue, and I have absolutely no problem with Katari or Reaver. But for example, Rage of the Avvar has an evolution which gives 20% guard/enemy in a 5-meter radius. The animation is long though, by the end of the animatio, I WILL have lost all guard generated by the skill, because any single attack destroys all his guard.
I can easily play assassin, I can easily play Reaver, Avvar just doesn't work. ALl other melee classes have some kind of mitigation/prevention (Assassin is always cloaked, Reaver recovers lost life, Katari jhas much more solid guard than Avvar) and the fact Avvar has none makes him unplayable without a dedicated Keeper.
Alchemist, admittedly I haven't had time to test much how he plays since yesterday buff, but IMO she is conceptually flawed, in that too few skills properly synergize with Flask of Fire but mines. So right, now this combo has gotten a HUGE boost, that may be enough to make her more viable, but it still seems like a one-trick pony, everything else she does the Assassin can do better.

Well, gear and promotions do most of the work in DAMP. So, saying "I can solo, guys" with BiS and 100s of promotions doesn't help the players who don't have that. Due to bad luck my best 2H weapon is a itemlevel 22 white(!) sword after spending 150k on big chests. The only purple I have is a superb consti amulet. 12/13/12 in promotions. My avvar is a twhohit on perilous.
