Geez, what happened to Corypheus? He was an epic bad dude in Legacy, requiring several attempts to get the party selection, and especially tactical positioning correct for a hard-won victory. Usually at least 2 party members down at the end.

This Cory (he doesn't justify the name Corypheus) - just mash a few buttons, wear second rate armor, lower level 3 staff, so-so unique armour for companions (Cassandra, Varric, Solas), and he fell like a rotten tree.

And his dragon? Bleh, what a joke. The Ferelden Frostback was harder work.

All that buildup, and then,...this.

Well, that's it, another nail in coffin of the deadest DA game I've played.

Just really underwhelming on so many fronts, from the combat, to the hair...

The Corypheus battle wasn't too hard in Legacy. It was just long, slow, and boring, just like almost all DA2 boss fights. Corypheus didn't have any instakill abilities, so you just followed the basic boss fight tactics:

1) Fight until you reach a new phase of combat.
2) Die.
3) Repeat until you have figured out a way to counter enemy abilities in the new phase.
4) Go to 1).

There wasn't anything that felt hard or required any player skills. You just had to know the enemy combat script in advance and try to stay awake for 30 minutes or so.

Still beats the 2 minutes it took to kill him this time just pressing A, then X, then B, RB (spirit blade), rinse and repeat

It is boring compared to previous DA endings, cuz all Inquisition forces stuck in Arbor Wilds (who's great idea was it?),at least they could make the other companions join the fight instead of arriving later "Oh he's dead, back to Skyhold".

Even the siege of Adamant Fortress was better.

I have a feeling that the "real" ending to the game is going to be in DLC, and it will be on par with the difficulty of the level 30 Despair Demon group in JoH. Just a feeling though.

I still don't understand why we got him for boss in DA:I?

Seriously I would prefer someone else or having Flemeth as boss in DA:I as it was suspected when DA:I was announced, pretty much everyone thought we will get to battle Flemeth finally getting grasp of what abomination she is and that we will discover that she has something to do why Hawke and Warden disappeared and that revelation will be pretty horrific.

And this is how everything sadly turned out to be...

Corypheus' immortality should have been used and not swept aside.

It really was underwhelming.

I was really hoping for our choices to matter.

Like in DA:O, a battle in the end at Skyhold with the armies you've gathered and your companions fighting beside you.

And your choices matter, templars or mages beside you.

If you chose the infirmary maybe your soldiers has more Health but if you chose the training grounds you have more of them.

And depending on if you went to the emerald graves, hissing wastes and the other maps that are not related to the main story you face of different enemies. Like, did you take out the leaders of the Free Men? If not, they are there fighting!

You fighting your way through the battlefield and reaching Corypheus with the three companions you chose, the others fighting at Skyhold or something..

It feels worse than ME3's ending. At least let it build up to the bad part instead of sending me right to it. This is why I refuse to play my saves post-ending.
