I agree with Yavana as companion and possible LI, I always like the arcane smarties, and she is just the best option since her mother is dead and it's unlikely have her sister and uncle back on a party.

If Yavana knows how to pull the same trick as her mother did in DA2, we could have a nice little handwave for how she can come back from the dead? Unlike Morrigan, she did accept Flemeth's gift to her, so that could have given her access to the same bag of tricks?

Otherwise, a companion who is ultimately revealed to be another Witch of the Wilds and daughter of Flemeth?

(Speaking of Flemeth's daughters, how come she never has any sons? Does she use magic to ensure they're always girls?)

I'm confident that Flemeth has to had at least one son, performing a trick to pull an Old God's soul into a baby is one thing, sending your daughter to perform it and being sure that it'll work it's another matter, Razikale was the only female among the Old Gods, and while there are records of the Blight before Corypheus, there are no records of tainted Dragons with that size and power before the OG, so, if the ritual has been performed before, the result had to be a male, I think it would be nice to see a "Wizard of the Wilds" someday.

I don't have any specifics yet but like everyone, I'd like something refreshing, and more from:

Interesting backgrounds: I like OP's Rivaini Seer and Fog Warriors.

Other than those,

  • A dorky KISA (knight in shining armor) for the guys
  • Tevinter slave/commoner mage
  • Vengeful Qunari hedge mage (Probably difficult to implement. Present skill trees / spells wouldn't work on them. Maybe they'll have to be a warrior/rogue with some boom-boom ability on top, something like Fenris. Still would make an interesting companion though.)
  • Avvar (maybe a mage apprentice, complete with their spirit-buddy?)
  • Ancient Elf (Sentinels: why wouldn't they use magic? They're not Arcane Warriors)
  • Titan (?)
  • Ancient Qunari (like, before the alleged mixing of dragon blood)
  • Old God Kieran and other God-possessed vessels
  • People where somewhere off the main continent (probably where the Warden went)
  • Demon/spirit (like a reanimated Nevarran corpse)
  • Pets like GRIFFON and DRAGONLING (probably not as a full companion, but they're highly intelligent)

Different body types: muscular elves (like, as buff as humans), scrawny qunari/dwarf, etc.

Former companions whom I want to see again:

  • Shale: will she become a dwarf again?
  • Alistair: things became calmer, so he left the throne. Just as my Warden told him. I just hope he's not like he is in the comics.
  • Fenris: interaction with Tevinter, Fog Warriors (Hawke would tag along)
  • Isabela: she's funny
  • Merrill: with Eluvians becoming more and more important
  • Cole
  • Dagna
  • Scout Harding

I now want a Spirit of Honor inhabiting the body of a Mabari, conveniently named Honor.

This is basically Chopper from One Piece lol

Bianca - Because Varric's story Isn't done. He's gotta get the girl. And i think it'd be really interesting to do from her perspective.

Clarke Griffin - Because so much perfect.

Black Canary(Caity Lotz) - Badass Assassin and defender of the innocent.

These are just voice actors i want to do either a companion or the pc...

1) Troy Baker
2) Ashley Johnson
3) Caity Lotz(have no idea if she even does voice or not)

Some more ideas for possible companions:

- A sword and shield warrior from the Anderfels, voiced by Idris Elba

- A dual wielding city Elf from the Free Marches, voiced by Natalie Dormer

- A Saarebas (with their tongue still attached obviously), voiced by Ben Foster

- A two handed weapon wielding noble from Antiva, voiced by Rosario Dawson

- A surface Dwarf archer (not a crossbow) from Ferelden, voiced by Jeff Fahey

- A Dalish mage from Nevarra, voiced by Olga Kurylenko

- A two handed weapon wielding Avaar, voiced by Dolph Lundgren

- A dual wielding Grey Warden Dwarf, voiced by Jensen Ackles

- An Orlesian mage, voiced by Sophie Marceau

An Ancient Elven Female Arcane Warrior who fought in the climatic last battle at Sundermount against the Imperium, becoming one of the few who escaped alive and not in chains. Having never mastered Uthenera in order to sustain herself, she has spent the past thousand years awake and wandering the length and breadth of Thedas, witnessing history as it came and went, as well as the trials the People have endured.

Unlike those of her kin who've power-napped across the centuries and look at the days of Elvhenan with rose-tinted goggles, she's long since come to accept that the "Good Old Days" never truly existed and that until the People stop wallowing in the past, they can never find a future for themselves.

(As much as I love Solas, the Sentinels and the Dalish, they do often end up seeming like they're from the same planet of hats a lot of time as Javik in ME3... it would be nice to have at least one Ancient Elf in the series who actually enjoys the modern world, or at least has come to accept it.)

I usually really enjoy characters that go against type, especially when it means they're enthusiastic about things that most of their kind distrust, dislike, or feel generally apathetic about/superior to. Dagna is a perfect example, and so is the Avvar in Jaws of Hakkon that loves lowlander architecture.

I do wish they would do that with companions more often. It makes sense that they would use it as a way to make NPCs more memorable, but some geeky enthusiasm from party members is always my favorite.

I'm going to put more thought into this, but off the top of my head:

  • female Qunari Saarebas Tal-Vashoth
  • female dwarf like Dagna or Scout Harding
  • Avvar, either gender
  • Fog Warrior, either gender
  • Hedge Witch, either gender
  • the shiny gay Orlesian Knight (unlike many players, I love the outrageous French accents)
  • male Sentinel elf (nomnom!) who is fascinated by everything that's happened to Thedas while he was in hiding and has fun growing his hair out
  • female red-headed Tevinter blood mage who is charming and funny, but not conservative like Vivienne, PLEASE. She could undergo a transformation or have a fall from grace and eventually turn against the magisterium and aid a slave rebellion. Perhaps she's elf-blooded *gasp!*
  • male dark-haired Nevarran or Antivan captain, roguish, shrewd, capable and ingenious. I love the stories about 17th century sea captains and all their tricks.

I shall have to consider voices and add them later.

I've got a whole bunch of ideas that I think could be cool over the course of the next several games

Established characters I'd like to see return as companions:

  • Charade Amell
  • Luka
  • Korbin
  • Zither

  • Character concepts I'd like to see for companions:

  • A Mortalitasi (Nevarran death mage)
  • A Nevarran Dragon Hunter (bonus points is it's a Pentaghast)
  • A Fog Dancer

- Charade is the most adorable human in Thedas. This is indisputable fact.

- Korbin!

- Luca reminds me a Dagna, and is thus extremely lovable...but I really want female warrior Dwarf now.

- Zither is the best. My favorite character to play in MP. I kind of wish he had a more dashing voice though.

- These three concepts intrigue me. Another Pentaghast dragon hunter, male and not associated with the Chantry this time, would be amazing.

Is fog dancer another term for fog warrior?

For future companions I'd like to see:

  • An Orlesian chevalier - I've wanted a chevalier companion since DAO. I think Michel de Chevin would be a good fit for that and I think he has an interesting background.

  • Male dalish archer - tall, dark and handsome, a dalish Han Solo type character ;)

  • Harding or perhaps Bianca - I think it's time for another female dwarf companion and I liked both.

  • Someone from Anderfels - just a character to finally introduce the country a bit more.

  • Female qunari mercenary - because we had no female qunari characters so far

  • Hall the archer from MP - his "human raised by Dalish" backstory sounds interesting

  • Ancient elf from Mythal temple - who treats the dalish companion like a servant :P

  • Nevarran mortalitasi mage

It was weird how Anders takes his nickname from his homeland, yet he never once told us anything about the Anderfels whatsoever in either Awakening or DA2? Even if he got sent to the Circle really young (which seems to be the case since of the pillow given to him by his mother), you'd think he'd have shared some memories of what it was like to grow up there.

Even Isabela mentioned Rivain a few times and gave us a few bits of information about her people and culture.

I've thought that, too. I think it was supposed to add to a certain sense of mystery about him, or to illustrate how thoroughly his feelings about the circle began to define him.

I was thinking of a Hurlock (talking Darkspawn like the Architect or Corypheus) as a companion.

Nevarra seems to be trending right now. It's almost in vogue, or at least I've seen a lot of it in the past week. I think I'm most interested in a dragon hunter from the region, but I see a lot of Mortalitasi requests. Does anyone have any particular hopes for a story arc of a Nevarran companion?

I'm not sure I understand very much of Nevarran culture. I assumed that it's Andrastian, but less intrinsically devout than Orlais and Ferelden. We've had a very devout Nevarran companion already. I wonder if people would prefer one who's less so in the future.

I liked Maevaris from the comics, would love her as a companion.

A friend of mine is crazy about Michel de Chevin and wants him as a companion yesterday.

I would then put Fenris, Krem and Dorian into a party and popcorn.gif that Tevinter catastrophe.

Fenris died in my universe and I don't like him but I love the idea of these three meeting, lol.

There's always wyverns they can hunt?

Or perhaps despite dragons being "supposedly extinct" until the Dragon Age, they were just scarce and people thought they were gone for good, just like how everyone convinced themselves the darkspawn had been wiped out after the Fourth Blight? Just wishful thinking on everyone's part and common knowledge being completely wrong (as it often is).

Actually, no.  Fog Dancers are the historians of the Fog Warriors.  They are responsible for propagating their history and lore over time.  I think that it would be a great way to introduce the culture of the Fog Warriors without justing having a warrior or rogue who is a lore dump in dialogue.  If our companion was the Fog Dancer for a group of warriors, then it would make sense for him/her to be a wealth of knowledge on their culture and history.

The Inquisitor can become a pretty epic dragon hunter over the course of about a year. Player character is a special snowflake, I know, but I think it would only take three or four dragon kills before people would start heralding someone as a dragon hunter.

Thank you! Is this a section in WoT? I must find all current fog warrior info. It's very important.  :D

I wouldn't mind having a pair of companions who aren't romanceable, since they're already married to each other. We've had companions who argue like an old married couple, why not make them be just that?
