1. A Female Asari love interest that does not look anything like Liara or their chosen voice actor - I loved Liara but I would rather have one who looks like Shiala, Aria, or Tela Vasir......no freaking eyebrows and blue eyes? come on, I would like an alien to look alien :P

2. No suicide mission introducing awesome squadmates then turning them into cameos because of "to many possible endings" - I would however love a select screen full of awesome squaddies to choose from PLEASE!!!!!

3. Epic Music - still get goosbumps everytime my Shep. walks onto the Normandy SR1 bridge for the first time in ME1 ugh, best scene in all my video game playing days screw that EVER IN ALL MY MEDIA VIEWING DAYS. You just knew this was going to be something special. Oh oh and The Suicide Mission theme ugh.......eargasmus.

4. A clear epic story vision from beginning to end- if it is a trilogy plan on how it ends when you begin production, when we spoke with Sovereign in ME1 I was like "oh snap" the ending to this series is going to be darn epic........us versus them, win or perish, unfortunately it was not.

So there it is, that's all I desire personally, what about the rest of ya'll?

Hmm....not too bad.

It matters little to me, considering I won't be around for this game.  But if I had a wish list for the game, it would be

1. Female Turian Love interest

2. More music by Clint Mansell (That Bioware will probably only hire for one piece and then forget about).  And for the love of god, don't pull a DA:I and under utilize the soundtrack.  Jesus.

3. An ending that doesn't suck

4. better outfits, sleeker design for the armor (more form-fitting)

5. Better choice system (rather than the conversation simulator we have now)

Well going from what I know already....

Set in the same time as Shepard.

Set in another Galaxy.

Different Species

N7 operative.

So my list is...

1. Different main enemy other than Reapers as ultimately you cannot defeat them as that is Shepard's job.

2. More choices with the ending and noticeably different fmv's.

3. A Love Interest with a reward i.e marriage, Child birth

4. Better animations than DAI as DAI was awful.

5. NO 99% FETCH QUESTS AND SIDE QUESTS WITH 1% MAIN QUEST!

6. Mako drives faster than horses/mounts on DAI

My list:

1 Zero references to the trilogy, and the ending in particular

2 A story and setting that doesn't cause my brain to bleed

3 An ending that doesn't force me to commit suicide/become a monster/both at once

4 A story that's actually thought out from start to finish.

5 Clothes that actually look like clothes, armor that looks like armor.  No painted on or stripperific outfits except where the situation requires it.

There was nothing about ME's storyline that you liked?

Oh I loved everything about ME (yeah even the ending), but like it has already been established the ending does kind of close the doors to sequels without forcing a canon which will upset a third of the fan base. And personally I really couldn't care less of exploring/saving another galaxy, I want to save a galaxy or a solar system I might care about, not one which is billion light years away.

A total reboot could be the best way to start with a clean slate and do things right this time round (in regard leaving the doors open to the ending).

I know it is a poor comparison but games like Zelda or Final Fantasy work pretty well with the fact that each title is its own story contained in his own universe.

Also another reboot that completely brought back to life a series was Mortal Kombat 9, a wonderful idea to fix all that was wrong with how they messed up the original story. I think it worked well with the reboot of Tomb Raider as well, so it can be done.

Yet MKX was terrible. Well personally I didn't like MK9 but hey lol.

Yeah I get what you are saying but it feels like a cheap move with a relatively new series.

It's like saying "Hey we fuk'd up let us start again" which I believe would upset even more than a 3rd of the fan base.

What they could do (even tho they said they didn't want to) is set it out in our galaxy but as a side story to the original events that way nothing needs to be confirmed or denied as Shepard is a separate existence to what you are actually doing.

Failing that the safest bet is set ME:Next before Shepard that way it could be in the same galaxy and have a new enemy as it would not be yet time for a harvest.

But it all falls onto how creative BioWare wishes to be.

You would end up making a very underwhelming story, and making the protagonist insignificant. It would be like killing a basement full of giant rats and calling it a quest while Frodo is on his way to destroy the One ring.

Doing a story before Shepard, again, you would end up falling into the same trap because there are a lot of comics and stories written prior the events of ME, and you would basically be just a side paw moving in the background, overall, you would lack  the "epicness" of the first story of ME, I mean how can you top "saving the galaxy"?

But I am pretty sure is going to be set in a galaxy far, far away because that is the safest route. It might even become better than the first 3 games, but deep down, not being able to visit our favorite locations anymore is going to be a massive let down.

Yeah I get the underwhelming story but then by comparison you can't top saving the galaxy so any story would be underwhelming really.

The books and comics I don't know about when they are set as I thought they were following Shepard and crew so I didn't realize it would effect a past storyline.

Apparently it is set in Helios system which I am pretty sure was in the current galaxy.

I guess I misunderstood, I thought they said the "Andromeda" galaxy.

Maybe it is and they just didn't realize they already used the name Helios lol.

EDIT:

What gets me tho is the talk of replacing two of the races.

To me I would say replace all races except the Quarians as they travel everywhere during their pilgrimages and possibly the Asari as they like to think of themselves as one of the greatest so they would want to do just like the humans (setup a colony in the Andromeda Galaxy) but better or grander.

1.  Fully adjustable main character (not just limited facial setup) but whole body.

2.  Customizable outfit (I don't like medieval word ->armor, we play SiFi game not a D&D) that reflects class

3.  Get real astronomer to consult space events -> I want to see double stars swallowing each other, spinning neutron stars etc

4.  Deep emotional relationship with selected crew mates (not just brief romance). (yes to marriage and family as reward)

5.  Side quests that really matter
