I used to enjoy using incendiary ammo on my Krogan soldier, but somebody recently pointed out to me that I'm abusing a glitch by doing so. What's the glitch there (and presumably the Batarian soldier, as well)? Is there a way to use incendiary ammo on these kits without abusing whatever the glitch is?

It's a glitch, but it's not in any way punishable. And even if it were, BioWare is not banning anybody for anything ME3 related anymore.

fire grenades + fire ammo = weird dot stacking

 

warp + fire ammo does this too

Basically Inferno Grenade and Incendiary Ammo interact with each other and cause way more damage than they should. It works with other powers too (like incinerate) , so if anyone is using Incendiary Ammo it's hard to avoid. Don't worry about it and use whatever you like.

I'm not worried about getting banned, I'd just prefer to avoid glitches when I can. (Yes, I am weird for not always wanting the most optimal builds and play.)

 

Is the glitch only activated specifically when you shoot stuff that's already getting burninated by the grenades and vice versa? So when the DOTs of the two different effects are both affecting the same target?

Lol if Bioware was banning for it, there would be nobody left playing. I abuse the **** out of it especially if it's Cerberus.

Why not pick a weaker weapon if it weighs on you conscience so much. Try the Geth Pulse Rifle with incindiary glitching for a change. Works great, and no one is the wiser.

You need to first apply the power and THEN fire with incendiary ammo, otherwise it won't work.

 

However. Incendiary ammo are glitched by themselves already. If you fire more than one bullet/pellet per 3 seconds, you're already abusing a glitch, although a severly reduced one, in magnitude, with respect to the warp/inferno/incinerate/whatever + incendiary.

Weaker than what? He never posted which weapon he was using. Furthermore, the incendiary glitch (if I'm not mistaken) works better with rapid fire weapons which has no bearing on the damage output of said weapon, but your suggestion would actually be encouraging it more.

Right. I put a Wraith on my Drellguard because I love the fast cooldowns, and I give him Incendiary ammo for the nifty fire explosions. Given how the kit is synergized, there's really no Incendiary abuse there. I don't feel bad about using him this way. This extends to the GPS, Claymore, Raider, and some of the other shotguns.

It's shameless, dirty and utterly disgusting! I have no words to describe how bad it is. Whenever I would do it, I would pretend not doing it.

Even more so when other people don't know and you do it secretly. It's like betraying them, when you come here to boast about your score.

 

Then again, it's a game and why not be dirty for a change when you have to be nice in RL?

My BatSol uses AP Ammo and my BatDept uses Warp Ammo.  They're plenty strong enough without glitching dot damage.

 

My TSent uses Incendiary Ammo, though, so I stopped playing him.

Ah no, I didn't top score with my Incindiary glich setup. I was double scored by the big bad max manifest Infiltrator. How can this be? I though Incindiary glitching was just as OP?
