They really have been insufferably vague and have taken a REALLY long time to bring something as simple as a few additional weapons and armors and the making the CC available in-game.
I'm positively thinking that the delay is because they are cooking something more to us...THINK POSITIVE!!!

I think they're really trying to make sure that it is as bug free as possible. They also might be trying to pair it with the release of Jaws of Hakkon on PS4 and last gen consoles.

I was under the impression we'd finally get facecodes or a way to export our inquisitors faces into other games, that is the only feature i even want.

If it doesn't have new hair/horn/beard options and Qunari armour they can shove it.
This. Qunari armor is a must. The fact that they overlooked that for the vanilla game is already unbelievable. If they do the same for the BE that's just plain lazy. Throw in the Arlathan elves armor too. Knowing Bioware though, they probably won't ever add Qunari race armor. To quote the SWTOR devs, some of whom have merged to the DA team , "That would take a ton of work" ![]()

Oly Sh!t Are you tell me that is what prevents one of the leading developers in the world, who are housed under the biggest Video Game publisher in the world, why they can't hash out 4 or 5 specific race option clothing for 3 non human races? Because it would require work? What is EA paying them to do then? I'm not bashing either EA or BioWare, but when I hear people use "work" as an excuse to not do work, i get seriously offended.

Fact is, the armour is already in game as seen on NPCs. I hate the fact my mage looks like a damn hunter because the armour is identical no matter what class you play as. Also they haven't sorted the floating hair and ear clipping...... ![]()

I'm saying that word for word excuse is exactly what the SWTOR developers said on multiple occasions on their community forum, and that some of them transferred to DAI a little while ago. They said it so often it became a community meme around there. But even for that team, you're correct of all reasons that has to be the weakest.

The Arishok armor is available in multiplayer, the assets are there they just choose not to make it available to the inquisitor for whatever reason. Same for the Arlathan robed armor. But this is a developer that prides itself on giving NPCs the best armor, while players get to pick from programmer art. Just look at all of the inquisitor armor concepts, and you will cry when you see how many never made it into the game.

Isn't it supposed to be near the beginning of May? Huh, if I bet on the right Derby horse, and... then, perhaps some newfound bribes could be set in order...

I know, some of the concepts looked amazing and were completely scrapped. What i'm finding hilarious at the moment is body proportion, my female Qunari has a giant body and tiny head.......i mean come on, how does this make it past testing.

I have a sneaking suspicion the delay is due to timed exclusivity.

Same for the males, and Iron Bull. Someone at Bio HQ obviously loves harry the hunter.

But if you want an even harder laugh at body proportion, look no further than SWTOR's body types.

Only the first DLC was bound by an exclusivity agreement. Unless you're referring to them releasing it on the day Hakkon is released for the remaining platforms.

I share this suspicion.I have a sneaking suspicion the delay is due to timed exclusivity.
My guess was that it was ready to ship after the short beta, but they discovered their exclusivity agreement forbade releasing any single-player DLC (on platforms other than the Xbone) before May.

The exclusivity only applied to the first singleplayer DLC, Emporium would be the second and therefore outside of that restriction.

That's because the cost of a triple AAA game boils down to roughly:
1. 40% Art work
2. 40% Marketing
3. 15% game programming
4. 5% misc.

Let's just hope BE doesn't include micro transactions
You clearly haven't tried multiplayer yet.

I'm talking micro transactions for SP
#24
Posté 29 avril 2015 - 05:48
I don't see what the problem is. BW's not forcing you to take the micro transactions in any way, shape, or form. Besides, I highly, highly doubt that micro transactions would be included in SP.
As for BE, I'm assuming it'd be released some time after JoH. Pretty sure it won't be a free DLC since it'd be quite a bit to get for it to be a free DLC. Most likely going to be about $5 (maybe $10) if I had to guess.

(to Gamer072196) I believe it has been confirmed that "The Black Emporium" will be free. I think a tweet stating this was featured in the thread about it in the "NO-SPOILERS section"
