It was still bugged for me as of yesterday, I've completed it twice.

Yes it's still bugged. Restart the last dragon fight and kill it again and the achievement should pop up.

It's still bugged. I just managed (finally!) to unlock it yesterday. I probably had to kill around 15 dragons across a few different playthroughs for it to unlock.

6 months and the problem with overpower characters on the system has not been resolved or the achievements -shameful

I think its the Crestwood one that doesn't count.

I did the one in the Hissing Wastes twice to get the achievement. That dragon was one of the easiest ones.

I've already killed them all, see.
No save to back there, given the savegame limit.

Pretty much did the same here too. Reloaded a save before my last dragon at Hissing Wastes with 9/10 completed, closed out, reloaded, then got the achievement.

I wonder if it only fixes it for new games, rather than retrospectively? I remember the fix for the missing mosaic tile on the Skyhold wall behind Gatsi only got fixed when I collected it after applying Patch 6 not if I collected it first and then installed the patch. If it is as some think that the Crestwood dragon is/was bugged then maybe you'd have to install Patch 7 before killing it for it to count? Of course, I've killed over 20 dragons across three playthroughs (5/7/10) and the achievement still hasn't popped for me. Luckily I only just fought the Sandy Howler as my 10th High Dragon kill last night so I can easier reload a pre-fight save and repeat it to see if it pops tonight at last.

Well, the Dragon's Bane achievement finally came good last night but it was rather odd how it happened. First I reloaded my Sandy Howler pre-fight save from the night before and beat the SH a second time but no achievement. I quit, restarted the game and re-loaded the pre-fight save and tried a third time setting 'Dragon Hunter' as my Active quest beforehand (just in case). Again, result = a dead Sandy Howler, a 'Quest Completed' pop-up but no DB achievement. So I reloaded the pre-fight save once more and tried again. This time I used Sera's Thousand Cuts at the start of the fight rather than the end and also, for the first time in any of my Sandy Howler battles, a couple of dragonlings turned up mid-way through. This time after I killed the SH the DB achievement finally popped! I'm guessing (but it's only a guess) that you have to re-fight the dragon straight after defeating it the first time for some reason but ultimately IDK. ![]()
