I wanted to know if it was possible to re-texture / re-skin staves?
Basically wanted I wanted to do was re-texture the standered bio-ware staves and drop them into my override folder so they would show up in game. If this is possible Could someone point me in the right direction on how I go about doing this.
Question about staves?

Magic stafs do need more apperices ingeneral they seem to be forgotten in fact I think its a good idea for a custom content challenge.

There's actually quite a few custom stave appearances already. The CEP contains some and a handful of CCC entries did as well as other submissions on the new vault.
If you search the new vault, do searches for both "staff" and "stave" as submissions likely use both. If you find some you like, you can convert them using a text editor by renaming their models and textures. If you find some you like and need help converting them, just post links and details and I'm sure someone here can pitch in.

(I apoligize my keyboard is goign nuts)
I stess the "magic" part of my statement. I am aware of hte normal wooden counterparts new additions to apperince but a basic MAGIC Staff hasn't had many additions to its apperince at all.

The CEP alone adds over 2 dozen new options, while with staves found elsewhere on the new vault, my own PW has over 3 dozen options beyond the standard Bioware options. Its just a matter of the OP deciding which ones to have overwrite the vanilla ones and give us the inks and details so myself or another can whip them up.

Erm, yes ... I am speaking of appearances, not properties.

Yes, it's possible to have new magic staff appearances. As mentioned in previous posts, there are additional ones out there that add to what's available. However, I don't know of any replacements/overrides for the existing ones besides the ones I made myself (but never publicly released).
If I find the time in the next week or so (I'm in the process of getting ready to buy a house, sell a house, and move across the country), I'll see about extracting and uploading the ones I made to replace the clunky BioWare models to the new Vault.

Nevermind on my magic staff changes. They definitely wouldn't work as overrides to existing models, since I actually ended up messing with the model structures a lot (for instance, some bottom pieces are entire staff designs and some middle parts are odd shapes)...just using them to replace existing models would result in a lot of rather odd-looking staves.

Do you have them for download as new models somewhere?

Not at the moment. However, after I unpack this summer (moving across the country in a month), I plan on starting to make periodic releases of more Aenea content on the Vault and I can make many of the staves one of those releases.

Here are some new staves, although I do understand Surek is looking for reskinned default NWN staves, thought I'd just offer it for anyone else who might be looking for some more variety.
