Who else thinks that Blackwall, in most tier 2 sections and a little bit of teir 3 sections, has armor that not only makes him look a bit puffy, but armor that looks like rough pjs? Of course, it's nothing like the beige ugliness of the inquisitor's skyhold outfit, but still. Templar and maybe a bit of actual warden armor seem to show up fine on him, but as for other armors...

 

It saddens me to see that Blackwall tends to have fatty armor and puffy armor and stuff.

I think it looks like he's wearing quilted house robe armor. All he needs are his fluffy house shoes.

That armor style is called a gambeson, which is a padded defensive jacket meant to be worn alone or combined with plate armor. The bulk protects against the blows.

I've always loved Blackwalls armor just because it looks very historically correct
