A proper RPG, something with a wide range of character build and customization options and allows for a varied amount of playstyles and approaches to gameplay.
Or hell just something cool and unique that is worth checking out.

I want to say Ar Tonelico, but that's a hard one to get into with it starting on the PS2 and them being hard as hell to come across without the unfortunate emulators.
That said, I don't have much else in the way of RPGs like you are looking for.

Damn I actually came in here to say that!
I don't see Dragon's Dogma. The best action RPG in modern history.

The RPGCodex review came in: It's ****.
Obsidian promised the story of PS:T, combat of IWD and the exploration of BG, but somewhere along the road they got confused, and what they gave us instead was the story of BG, the combat of PS:T and the exploration of Gothic 4.
This is literally the worst Obsidian game I’ve played to date. That’s right, I even had more fun with Dungeon Siege 3 - at least it was a fun beat ‘em up, as opposed to this lifeless, uninspired husk. Disappointment, thy name is Pillars of Eternity.

Liked Dragon's Dogma, been waiting for a sequel instead I got news of Online, not sure if I should be filled with dread or excitement.
I'm pretty sure RPGCodex slams any new game that comes out.

I vote dread and crushed hopes, then more dread, some more dread and crushed hopes again.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Plenty of variety in gameplay and playstyles open in that game, and you can get it for a steal these days. ![]()

I've been thinking of getting it. Though my PS3 is full and I'm not sure if my laptop can handle such a game.

KoA wasn't too bad. It'll feel like an offline version of World of Warcraft; Unsurprising, since I believe it was originally meant to be an MMO. You'll get around 20+ hours and some neat environments.
Dragon's Dogma doesn't have too much in terms of story, but they got the open environments and enemy encounters down very well.Pawn system was neat.
I see a lot of people praising Dragons Dogma, but the way it handled quests, the lack of easy to use or understand map, and non-combat aspects of the game weren't good in my opinion.
I think Alpha Protocol deserves a mention here; it's an espionage-themed RPG (one of the few) which features some pretty sophisticated choice-and-consequence mechanics. Last time I checked, even the wikia wasn't clear on all the details about all of the impacts of the moment-to-moment choices you make. AP came out to a mixed reception, though, for a couple of reasons. First, it has a conversation timer (you have a limited amount of time to choose your dialogue option), which I liked, but a lot of people don't. Second, like all Obsidian games, it was pretty darn buggy, which resulted in some sketchy combat mechanics and questionable enemy AI. Not for everyone, but still one of my favorites.
People still take that site seriously?
It's funny; I actually like a lot of the same games that they seem to love over there (PS:T, the Jagged Alliance series, Quest for Glory, Alpha Protocol, etc.), yet I have no desire to spend any time there at all. Just doesn't seem like the most fun group of folks, which is kind of a problem when you're talking about games.
I don't know what is a RPG anymore maybe it's

It's the same group that lives in nostalgia and if it doesn't match the same shade as their tinted glasses, it's ****. You'll find them next to the "Ugh post '98 gaming is awful" just a row back from the "Remember when..." crowd.
Broad generalizations I know, but that's about as much as I ever gathered from hanging around there.
