No, don't. New Vegas is the best one.

I see a lot of people praising Dragons Dogma, but the way it handled quests, the lack of easy to use or understand map, and non-combat aspects of the game weren't good in my opinion.
I agree. It's just that the epic battles made up for it. It just has a lot of potential to be built on and improved.
@OP
Pillars of Eternity has been getting good buzz.
Diablo 2
Summoner
Fallout 1 & 2 & 3. Skip New Vegas, save a life.
FF9
The one that needs to be skipped is 3 not NV lol
Damn I actually came in here to say that!
I don't see Dragon's Dogma. The best action RPG in modern history.
Dragons Dogma let me be the type of mage I wanted to be while DA:I let me be what Bioware thinks the type of mage I want to be lol.
The one that needs to be skipped is 3 not NV lol
Don't skip any of them, Fallout 3 is bad for a Fallout game, but it's still very good for a video game.

I'd still say skip it lol.
PS1 role playing at it's finest... Beyond the Beyond. the really funny thing about that game is that I finished it two or three times and put around 300 hours in it total.
Nothing says reputable like blind nostalgia, trolling and casual racism.
I'd still say skip it lol.

I've recently gotten into the Shadowrun series. Both Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall are on steam for about $15 each, with Shadowrun Hong kong on the way soon.
Divinity: Original Sin
OT: Mount and Blade series. Want to be a trader? A knight? A steppe bandit? Yup.
Also, the mods. Dear lordy. The Last Days mod is the only Lord of the Rings game (aside from LOTR Online) with a customizable PC I know of.

Dragon's Dogma
Alpha Protocol
South Park: Stick of Truth
Super Paper Mario (Stick of Truth is more or less an homagé to this game)
Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines
Fire Emblem Awakening
Persona 4
Persona 3
Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2
Knights of the Old Republic 2
New Vegas (Need to get back to it and sort out my mods so I can play it again)
Pillars of Eternity
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Witcher 2
Bloodborne (Enjoyed it more than any of the Dark Souls games, most likely due to the Steampunk/Victorian England-esque setting)

Ultima VII: Black Gate
Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny
Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar ( I think this is free on GoG?)
Definitely old school but still good. ( If you like old school games and take them with a bit of time context)
Fable
Lost Odyssey
FFX
Chrono Trigger
TESIII: Morrowind
Neverwinter Nights
(I guess these three depend on what you consider an RPG. Probably aren't but screw it.)
LoZ: Majoras Mask
LoZ: Twilight Princess
And LoZ The Wind Waker. Because it's Wind Waker and I said so.
