Suppose you could make the DA Team work on anything you wanted, with the same production quality that went into DA, which Fantasy Setting would you choose?
Mine: Planescape and Dark Sun <3
Any secret wishes from the developers and writers themselves? Which existing third-party Setting (doesn't have to be D&D) would you love to work on?
If you could make the DA Team work on a favorite Fantasy Setting, which would it be?

Planescape
I just love the setting since I played for the first time in '94...
For other systems, hmm... Talislanta would be fun, especially with an origin story for every race ;-)
If they would like to develop something completely different, I would vote for KULT.

I'm a sucker for Dragonlance setting, but both Dark Sun and Ravenloft would be pretty cool too.

Ooh. Warmachine, hehehe. Yeah. The Iron Kingdoms setting is quite interesting. That or a new Arcanum, I guess.
I'd like to see BioWare do a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay based game. Something 'grimdark' and 'gritty', yet still funny. Closest game that came to that 'feel' was Dark Omen, and that was a real-time tactical game.

Yes, because there has been a Warmachine/Iron Kingdoms video game RPG.
....oh wait, there hasn't.

Since I'm not a very avid reader of fantasy (just never got in to hardly any fantasy litterature except Tolkien) I am in the dark when it comes to traditional fantasy settings.
Therefore I'll suggest another settings, which indeed is fantasy, though not the traditional:
Tales of the Otori ( http://en.wikipedia....es_of_the_Otori ). I'd love a Bioware game with that setting!
Also I'd go for KOTOR III any day !
(ie not the MMORPG)
(EDIT: spacing)

Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion Saga.
I've always wanted to see a good game set around these books (and it already has an RPG system).

Ummmm George Martin's " A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Then again alot of the inspiration for DA was from Martin or at least that's what they said when they started development years ago.

Changeling: The Lost from White Wolf.

The whole system is based upon storytelling, something Bioware does with no equal. I'm sure they could make something very dark and horrifying yet whimsical and fantastic if they ever took a crack at it.

The books by David Eddings. The Belgraid series or The Elenium would be fantastic to relive as virtual reality.
Edit: With The Mallorean & The Tamuli as sequeals.

Okay, so I'm currently on my second read through Stephen Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen,
and I'm just as impressed wih it as I was the first time - a monumental
piece of work, epic storyline, a huge amount of history interwoven in
the whole plot, and still loads more to discover, a magic system I'm
rather fond of, characters credible enough I was really shocked and sad
when they died, more than a little philosophic touch to the story, and
many things more - really the greatest fantasy series I've read up
until now. Looking forward to Vol. 10 and the novellas, as well as Ian
C. Esselmont's work on the universe - sadly, a bit hard to find where I
live...
Anyways, before I started reading the stuff once more, I played through DA like two and a half times (blessed Christmas time...), and the further I get into the series again, the more I think HELL I'd love
to make Bioware a game out of this. Could imagine a game really set in
the game, taking the identity of a character, like, Quick Ben as a
mage, Paran or Whiskeyjack as a Warrior, Fiddler or Hedge as a sapper,
Kalam or Sorry as an assassin, etc., or, more likely, as an additional
member of the Bridgeburners, or as somebody who accompanies the Adjunct on her quest. Quite some potential there in the way of origin stories, I think, with all the tensions in the empire and whatnot.
But even making the first book into a game is probably too massive - the magic system alone might prove quite the challenge, with all those different warrens and stuff
(somewhat similar to the Fade in DA). Anyhow, I think the Universe, if maybe not the storyline of that particular series, would fit greatly with Bioware's style of RPG. Even fits the squads of the Malazan Imperial army, maybe something like "Malazan Campaigns" comes to my mind, helping the Empire conquering all those continents, from the very beginning...
Gods, I'm raving....
Just my thoughts on the topic...
Oh, and for those who havent's read the series yet: DO SO. If you have the time (amounts to like
8000 pages). Gave my copy of the first book (Gardens of the
Moon) to some colleagues, one really hated it, but all the others
wanted more...
