While there are different "worlds" that I enjoy - Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun, Shadowrun... I guess the purpose of DA is to NOT have a licensed world, but to own the setting, so BioWare can do whatever they want to with it.
If you could make the DA Team work on a favorite Fantasy Setting, which would it be?

I would love a 1930's Cthulhu game (I'd be fine with a present day one as well), old World of Darkness, or Wheel of Time.

Personally I would like Bioware to have a go at the Dragonlance setting, though this has
already been done by TRS and SSI in the 80’s and start 90’s. Another and maybe
more original setting could be the world of the Death Gate Cycle. This world
setting is by the same authors as Dragonlance (Wise & Hickman) but hasn’t
yet (to the best of my knowledge) been made into a game.
However it was in an adventure game which loosely follows the strory of the books but a RPG in the world of the Death Gate Cycle could be much better.
I stand corrected. Thanks mate

If they could do it without copyright or ownership problems I'd love them to do the original Unreal game world and a game based on it. (Not Unreal 2 which to me completely departed from what Unreal was about).
I loved the Temples, Nali levitating people and the slith snake people and of course the skaarj, the acrobatic reptilians. The whole game had a fantastic atmosphere and great music.
I'd like an RPG based on the same world or a very similar setting.

Arcanum.
This.
The game was a little buggy but it had an amazing concept and one of the greatest stories in any RPG I've ever played. It would be amazing if Bioware revived this often forgotten game.

Well, sorta fantasy. I'd love to see the sci-fi worlds of Farscape or Firefly get the DA:O "treatment." I really loved those two shows....

George Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, or Robin Hobb's Rainwilds/Six Duchies

Another possibility would be something Cyberpunk oriented, something that pulls the best elements of Gibson, Sterling, Williams, PK Dick and so forth together.
As far as a 1930's Cthulhu game, it looked, from old concept art that had circulated back around the release of City of Villains, that Cryptic was planning that very same thing, maybe even as a multi-player.

My first choice is Thedas. I'm not done with that one yet.
My second choice is Greyhawk. There have never been enough games set there.

Would love to see the wheel of time setting in the hands of some decent developers although it has a great many similarities with DA:O as it is.

All of mine have been said already, but bear repeating.
Planescape: My favorite D&D setting from my childhood. It had such great artwork... Plus, I want to play an RPG that lets me play a female bauriar.
Arcanum: Such a cool concept for a setting.
Dragonlance: Another childhood favorite. I loved the War of the Lance novels.
Changeling: Wow, would I love this. I owned a bunch of the books as a kid, but none of my friends would ever play it... They all liked Vampire/Werewolf/D&D more... Same art as Planescape too
Eberron: I know a lot of people hate it, but I think a good videogame would change their minds. I don't know a lot about it personally -- I've only read a few of the novels -- but I think it has a lot of cool ideas.
