Hi, um, alright, here's the thing: there are many quite nice shield schematics throughout the game that you can find and make etc, or you can find a keep, but the best of them all - imo - is the one you find at the beginning of the game, the Griffon Shield. I haven't found a schematic for it anywhere, and since it's my absolute favourite, I thought I'd beg a little. 

 

Pweeetty pweeeease can we have a Griffon Shield schematic in an upcoming patch? *bats eyelashes pleadingly*

I'm pretty sure I have a schematic like that somewhere in my Inquisitor's huge and chaotic inventory. I likely looted it from a random chest.

 

Or from a war table op? I don't remember.

Yeap, that's the one I'm asking for. I got the Grey Warden one as well from some place.

I believe there is a "superior" grey warden shield schematic with that appearance. I can't remember if I got it in the base game farming tier 3 schematics or if it's from the JoH expansion though. I'll take a screenshot when I get home.

I think it's from the JoH DLC.

Yeah, it's from JoH.  It's a tier 4 shield schematic.

That's rather stupid. A lvl 4 shield you find first thing in the game, you can't make until the very end of it. Nice work...

Schematics should be given a "choose model" slot...there's so much cool looking stuff in the game you can't craft lookalikes of. Honor guard sword and such...I wouldn't care one bit if such models wouldn't have any upgrade slots, there's slotless armor too after all.
