Only thing I can think of is that you have origin installed in Program Files (x86)?

Is there a prefered folder to have Origin in instead of Program files?

I have Origin + DAI both installed in the Program Files(x86) path (on an SSD) and the game is fast to load, so I don't think that is causing the problem. My sister also has the same setup on her computer.

IDK. I have mine in my "C:>games>Origin" folder.

Is his issue maybe that Origin itself is on the SSD but Origin Games is on the HD?

Is it possible that my mobo's max SATA speed is 3gb/s?  Would that possibly be the reason for slow load times?

Ok so I fixed it finally.

I reinstalled the game on my SSD.  I also did the tweaks near the end of this link http://segmentnext.c...nd-performance/ creating the user.cfg file.  The registry fixes were unnecessary.

I switched off mantle and went to DX11.  First I set it to the lowest settings possible.  Launched the game.  Saved.  Exited.  Rebooted the computer.  And then loaded the game again and it was almost instantaneous.

Switched it back to automatic and now it's loading pretty quickly.  I don't know if it was the whole series of changes I made, or if it was just switching off mantle.  Whatever it was - I'm glad it's working!

Addendum:  I've done further tweaking.  It seems the culprit IS Mantle.  I purchased my Radeon 280x hoping that Mantle would give my computer greater graphical performance.  While Mantle DOES likely bump up the graphics - it completely KILLS load times.  Once I went back to DX11 - the game loads almost instantly and scene changes are done within seconds.

So - if you're having trouble with long load times, check your graphics settings and see if you're using Mantle.

hat DLC and mods (if any) are you running? The more stuff you have in the game, the longer it takes to load and, if you happen to run CE, remove the WIP section and, make sure you are using the most up to date table (or at least table 45 if you insist on having God Mode and, only use it for that and crafting or shop inventory, not any of the other stuff in 45 as much of it causes problems now.)

I run off an SSD drive but, that's a small difference. The bigger factor is the type of RAM and, the speed and number of cores in you CPU. I'm lucky to read once sentence while loading but that's on a 4.2 gHz 8 core CPU and 32 GB DDR3 so, it had best not let me read a whole paragraph on that LOL.

My system is similar and i've not had any problems
