Do you think at any point in any future Dragon Age game, that the players not necessarily the characters in game in should be made aware of some supreme overseer like the Maker?
Should there be confirmation of a Maker in the next game?

The best you can expect is that they disprove Andraste. If they show that she was an mere mortal and that no god aided her, that is pretty much confirming that there is no maker.

I honestly dislike that they are confirming that other gods are real. If they confirmed the Maker I would probably just kill it on principle.

Well, they are proving these gods are real, but also proving they are far from divinity.

why? Given that the Maker was a ancient Northern Neromenian/Tevinter Creator Deity who was believed to exist by the Tevinter long before Andreste was ever born or the Tevinter started worshiping the old gods for that matter I find it hard to believe the revelation that he didn't help andreste proving anything about him other than the Tevinter being right about one of their gods not helping the upstart barbarian rebel slave.

There's no need for confirmation. You either believe there's a Maker or not.
I feel the players can make the choice for themselves. It's better than being told.
Yes, I simply preferred when this seemed to apply to the other major religions. The fact that we have proof that these entities are real, if not necessarily what we originally thought, undercuts the faith aspect for me.

That's a belief of Faith.

Yes, but it should only happen by way of nug. So, essentially, a giant horde of nugs lines up on top of each other, spelling out "The Maker is Real".

Yeah but they are proving that they never made the world or the various people of it. Just that they existed and were worshipped by the people in it. It essentially proved that they are more demi-gods than actual gods. Even in Dragon Age: Inquisition you aren't ever shown that the Maker doesn't exist, just that you were blessed by Andraste with the Mark.

Not sure why it would be needed. Me personally I think Sera has the best take on this when you talk to her at Skyhold, when she talks about how Cory cracked the Golden City and found the seat of the Maker. Well if the story is true that means the seat of the Maker is a real thing. A seat needs a butt, so the Maker, real thing.

He found a seat.
It doesn't have to belong to the Almighty
Either way I hope Bioware doesn't make it official either way. That way the religiously inclined, and the atheists like myself, can each assume they are right.

Well the story says he found a seat. Truth is the story might be completely wrong, for all we know he could just be crazy as a poop house rat.
But like you I'd rather not have an official statement one way or the other. I think it's far better to leave that up to the character to decide. I've played both ways myself, characters that do believe and characters that don't. I've enjoyed both.

Bioware has stated that they will never confirm it. I would not mind it happening, as long as the Maker is killable (like Gods in the Forgotten Realms).

I think they should leave the mystery of how the world was created a mystery. How would Bioware even go about confirming that the Maker exists and is in fact a god? Whatever form the Maker takes, players will argue his/her godhood, so why bother "revealing" it?
