I have enough credits, but when I go to buy it, I click buy and nothing happens.I can sell stuff just fine.
I can't buy anything from the shops..Why?

I have never heard of a similar bug in ME1. Are you sure the selected items are in the correct window/frame?
some more information might be useful: What are you trying to buy and from which shop? (A picture maybe, too)

My guess: you're pressing sell or the item, instead of the "Accept" button that is directly between the item list and the sell/buy/buyback section.

Yeah. Sounds that way to me. Buy or Sell is a toggle. You should also be able to double click the item IIRC.
