Could someone kindly PM the above paragraph to David Gaider?

There are many women like Hazegurl out there who don't mind us guys having beautiful females to look at. Not all women are sadistic, hate filled feminists who desire nothing more than the eradication of the male species.

Hazegurl you have my blessing to have as many hot looking males as you want, I don't mind at all as long as I get ONE female romance option per Dragon Age game that looks female, NOT christopher pentaghast or mr. joseph, AN ACTUAL WOMAN THAT LOOKS LIKE A GOD DAMN WOMAN.

This is a fair compromise, I hope Bioware reads this.  I don't mind seeing good looking male characters in game who are healthy and strong. If anything it just motivates me to workout.  I don't get jealous or offended.  I want women to enjoy the same high level sexual content that men get to enjoy.

Instead of just being politically correct, just give everyone lustfilled debauchery.   I would like to see lots of good looking female and males for both straight and lgbt gamers.  It's a fantasy world after all.  I understand variety, but you can't neglect the main core which is beautiful people.

Bring back the desire demons both male & female depending on what sexuality and gender the player is.  Bring back the sex appeal man, it will only make things better not worse.

Honestly I don't even know why I bother.  I guess most of us want another dragon age origins, but that Bioware we know is long gone.

OBSIDIAN, ARE ANY OF YOU GUYS READING THIS? PLEASE MAKE AN RPG LIKE DRAGON AGE ORIGINS, BIOWARE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT ANYMORE. OBSIDIAN & PARADOX WILL SAVE US.

- FACT: Pillars of Eternity got a better metacritic score than Dragon Age 2 & Inquisition.

- FACT: Cities Skylines was the real simcity that we deserved.

- FACT: ..... Obsidian will eventually identify what EA & Bioware are neglecting and quickly fill the void like a boss!

You need help, man. This isn't healthy.

I don't think he cares, dude. He's not working on the franchise any more, and even when he was, he didn't have the final say over what any of the characters looked like. (The writers provide descriptions and work with the concept artists, obviously, but it's not just up to them.)

Pillars is indeed a fantastic game, and it's also short on boob armour. The closet thing I saw was the hide armour which shows the midriff on female characters. (But not male characters, for some weird reason. Show me Eder's abs, Obsidian!) Everything else covers up most skin below the neck.

Everyone is different.  Just because you don't like the look of a character doesn't mean that no one does.  Everyone has different tastes.

He actually cannot understand that.

I haven't been able to read all of this thread yet. I'm a straight female and I must admit I've always rather liked the boobplate armor look. I rather like the look of my virtual womanly curves. What I don't like is the armor where my t*ts are hanging out. For some reason I can't quite describe, the boobplate makes me feel like a beautiful woman (which I like) while the chainmail bikini makes me feel like a sex object (which I don't like). It has nothing to do with what's realistic, it has to do with how one or the other makes me feel.

At the same time, I find this

Spoiler

and this

sexy as hell. Partially because the focus is taken AWAY from their boobs, and more towards the other things that make these characters visually interesting. Women are sexy for more reasons than their breasts.

What if the chainmail bikini gave you a combat advantage against male npcs? Anytime they stare at your character like a sex object, they're technically off guard and you exploit that with an awesome kill move.

I think that should be as offensive to men as it is to women.

Are you arguing in favor of chain mail bikinis now? I thought it was just the sculpted feminine shaped breastplates.

Those are two rather different requests.

I'll let you decide. I may have some trouble explaining.

I believe that it implies that men are so shallow and have so little control over their sex drives that they would be fatally distracted at the mere sight of t*ts.

You just described an interesting and controversial male character that could be part of a story.  How would you handle this character? Would you be friends with him? Slay him? Is he your enemy or rival?  If was your enemy is it that hard to believe he may be distracted for a split second over your characters physical beauty?  Would he hesitate for a moment, not wanting to strike something down that is beautiful? Maybe he isn't a battle hardened soldier, maybe he's a young rookie soldier.

How would it make you feel to be in control over him in such a manner?

I don't eat Italian food everyday.  Sometimes I like Japanese or Moroccan.  In other words, I want it all. Sculpted feminine shaped breastplates and chainmail bikini. I'm greedy, I want it all. I WANT IT ALL.

This

Plus, some men aren't exactly attracted to that kind of wear. While it would be an.. interesting mechanic where a man could be 'distracted' it wouldn't be fair at all or appealing to all men to be affected by that mechanic.

Sometimes, you seem like you're capable of being reasonable, and in response people are willing to to play on along.

You'd like to mod Cassandra? Fine. You'd like to have "boob plate" armor? Sure, why not.

Then you deliver a rant that paints large groups of people with the same brush, that suggests that feminists in general are "hate filled" and actually opposed to beautiful women.

The scenario you lay out might work in a comedy movie, especially one made in the eighties or the nineties, where it was exceedingly common to depict a woman's power as exclusively related to a woman's sex appeal.

It doesn't work as well in a game with serious combat, and there would be no shortage of men who would find the idea ridiculous.

The male would be an NPC, not another player.

If  I saw a hot female game character in chainmail bikini kill an enemy male grunt because he was looking at her like a sex object, I would laugh and be like . "MAN THAT WAS HILARIOUS!" Then again I have a sense of humor and I'm not politically correct.

Maybe certain npcs sure but then you'd have to account for males who are attracted to other types of armors too. Does this mechanic work for males who enjoy other males in slightly suggestive armor? There are a lot of factors to consider when making a game already

You avoided the question though, how does it not work in a game with serious combat? You don't realize how much men love breasts do you? There are many accounts of male soldiers through out history that let their guard down around women.
