Now that I have that image in mind
where do people draw the line? I usually only take issue with catsuits and boob plates when they start really breaking immersion. Like Samara going on a space walk with enough cleavage to stop a Reaper or when its just really ridiculous like say, steel plate armor in Skyrim (which is actually one of my favorite looking armors in Skyrim on men)
On women, I just don't really think it's all that pretty, and if I were inclined to go with very feminine shaped armor, I would do it because I enjoy the aesthetics enough to prioritize it.
I actually do usually put my female PCs in the most feminine armor that I can find, and sometimes I'm even a little envious of the other character's sometimes more feminine wardrobes. Bethany had my favorite unique outfit design in DA history, and a romanced Isabela had a corset that I would have stolen if I could have.
I love corsets.
But part of that was what I saw as subtlety and prettiness, bringing back around to some of the examples I've seen in this thread. Sometimes, a shapely breastplate is more elegant and attractive (imo) than "THESE ARE MY BOOB CUPS."
