Why can't one group have something and the other just ignore it completely? if this side wants this type of armor, let em! Its not like you''ll be forced to wear it.

Well, for some people, I imagine this topic is akin to if someone went "Hey, Bioware, put sparkly unicorn-painted armor into the game!" Even if it's optional and no one would be forced to wear it, sometimes you can't help but voice your distaste at the idea of including certain things in a game that you like.

Um, because armors don't just materialize out of artist's head, ready to be used in the game? You need time and resources to design these things and then make them look good and working properly.

I dunno, the average BSN poster seems to assume that Bioware should work like LensCrafters. New game features designed, coded, tested and implemented, all in about an hour!

I don't know if it's the lack of coffee or what, but you made me giggle harder than I probably should have at this.  You fit your name, good ser!

Because some people don't want options.

Because some people don't want options.

Or some people want more options that they like. As midnight_tea pointed out, you still need to actually make the boob plate armor, which costs time and money that could have gone towards a set of armor Person X does like.

Sadly, as a professional artist myself, I have to weep at some people's naivete when it comes to amount of work put into making ideas real.

It's rather frequently assumed that things like drawings or designs can be done swiftly, with little to no effort - it doesn't work like that, especially not when we want a quality product (even in a world full of budding, young artists we have today).

It takes effort to even design a thing in 2D format - it takes even more to "translate" it into a functional model in the game and then scale it all to all (or most) available models.

I am very biased when it comes to boob armour. Reminds me of all the games that force me to wear that ugly stuff. If it's available to players, some NPCs will probably wear it as well. So naw, I don't wanna see it.

I don't have problem if boob plate is option and there is enough other options. However I wouldn't want to see them on npcs especially if they look as awful as they usually do.

Dragon age has never had that armor. That was skyrim armor.

DA :2 had decient armor and hairs.. DA: 1 had decient armor and hairs..

I loved the armor packs in DA:2

What happened? Does someone else own the company now? lol

No way DAO had decent female armour. Exposed midriffs and boobs squished to cones everywhere.

Like I said, the people who have what they like don't want options.

Um, did you miss CronoDragoon saying "some people want more options that they like"?

Saying that people who have what they like don't want options is simply untrue. I'm usually all for variety and options, but I understand that they don't materialize out of thin air.

Wanting more of what you have =/= wanting more options.

Say there are five distinct appearances for the Inquisitor's armor. Some people want say ten. That's wanting more of the style they have, not wanting different style options.

Wanting more of what we have doesn't exclude wanting more options. I fail to understand why you want to keep pushing that it's otherwise.

Either way, whether content people want is similar to available armors or not, both of them require time and money to be spent.

Maybe it's the fact that throughout this thread from the first to this very page people have been saying "I don't want that".

FYI, when I had asked that question, nowhere did I say that said option should be implemented immediately. Don't have a single clue where this whole "materialize out of thin air" stuff came from.

Yeah, I should've quoted him/her when I posted that. I knew they brought it up. I was just speaking in general.

Just because there are some things I don't want in games I play doesn't mean I don't want options. I just don't want that particular option.

There can be armor like that. For example the armor in Mass Effect 1 looks functional. In fact ME2&3 went too far the other way and gave Femshep armor with a chestplate that resembles male pectorals. The kestrel set in ME2 for example or the Hahne Kedar plate in ME3 are sculpted on a male anatomy basis. This is neglection.

Neither practicality nor equality mean defaulting to male.

Boob plate never looks functional. Breasts don't work like that.

next Dragon Age both sexes should have this type of armor. Also the spears, i still don't understand why the Spear is ignored so much in these fantasy games.

I would love to have the ability to use pole-based weapons in the next game.
