Would that make you, midnight tea and some others a choice set of cool kids that sit back and egg em on?
No
It makes us the teacher who wonders how this kid got this far through life without learning what opinions are.

The thing about this topic, is that with the wording of the title, the inflammatory tendencies of the OP, and the fact that everyone has their own interpretation of exactly what "boob plate" means, it's absolutely destined to be a powder keg.

This is true. Not-Brevnau also had difficulty distinguishing his subjective preferences from objective assessment.
I myself haven't seen anyone else make a claim denying subjectivity as a concept in this thread besides those two posters. But here's an important clarification. My beef with Kefka has nothing to do with his preferences. I like "hot" characters too. Beauty and sex appeal are good in my books.

I admit I don't read kefka's posts as close as I should honestly. I glance over the topic sentence and if it's interesting I'll follow through. I won't indirectly call his intelligence into question (or her intelligence) by saying it's all incoherent.
(edited this part out, a little too stern for my own taste)
Just know that it comes off as a bit one sided. I know there are at least a few posters in this thread that are almost as guilty.
Look in a thesaurus, they are synonyms. Unless you have some problem with the way the English language is constructed (in which case I would totally understand), I haven't said anything incorrect thus far.
Oh, this is a real kicker though. You're the one who made it into a thing when you first responded to me. You don't get to just walk away like that when you're the one who began to escalate it.
My grasp of the construct of the english language is hunky dory. I did take your advice, though. I wanted to be fair.

Actually, you brought it up. I said, "Why can't it be all three?" and you mentioned your opinion that it was only "two". As for the bolded, as I said, highschool. Don't take it so personal. I certainly didn't intend to offend you. When you brought it up, I only mentioned it was three because I thought perhaps you missed a word. It's all good. ![]()
Really? I always thought that interesting means peculiar or something worth paying attention too, where as awesome is something to be excited for.
Technically he (or she) can too, he can just 'walk away' by not replying to your post. I think your taking it a little too personally
Interesting is a word I use when I can't find anything nice to say. For instance, a friend will ask how I liked the new guy she is dating and do I think he is attractive. I don't, but I say "Well, he has an interesting face."
Also, I am a she. ![]()
Let me first start by agreeing with you about opinions and posting. It just so happens that Kefka isn't the first to argue about their subjective opinion being objective. In fact when I pointed that out, Artifice pointed out Not_Brevnau which is true. But I was indirectly referring to Midnight_tea and Panda's posts. One of them implied taste is objective.
Gotta love Ogre and his particular flavor of passive-aggressiveness. Sure, put a girl that has probably never said things or acted the way you either directly or indirectly accused her of on ignore and misrepresent her position while talking about her to someone else, while not providing any shred of evidence of your claims.
Anyhoo, I don't think I've ever made any implication that "tastes are objective" and if he reads something as such, I have to assume he misinterpreted/misred something I've said. Which wouldn't be anything new...
I always think how much like high school it is when Kefka writes something. There was always that one kid who wanted to argue with the teacher but just ended up rambling incoherently for a few long minutes
Why are you even here? Both posts reported for trolling since you don't seem to have any purpose here at all or to make a contribution to the topic.
I'd report the other ones too but they mainly just were pointing out that fact really.

I find it a little nutty that this debate is still going on. I thought we were doing so well too...
Oh well, carry on.
When you ignore characters like Ivy (Soul Calibur), Moka Akashiya (Rosario + Vampire), Yoko Littner (Gurren Lagann), Nami (One Piece), Saeko Busujima (High School of the Dead), literally any character in the Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball series, literally any female character in the mainstream Dead or Alive series (excluding Nicole-458, as she is a guest character from Halo and thus dressed up in the SPARTAN-II armor), Fran (Final Fantasy 12) , Tifa, Yuffie (Both Tifa and Yuffie hailing from Final Fantasy 7), Quiet (Metal Gear Solid 5), Chun Li, Cammy (Cammy and Chun Li both hailing from Street Fighter), Lady (Devil May Cry), Jill Valentine (Resident Evil, particular emphasis on her appearance in RE5), Jerrica (Dragon's Crown), and Catherine (Catherine), sure.
That's at least 15 characters from 13 games, plus an entire roster of characters for another game all off the top of my head. There is no "compared to X" in play here, Japan is not known for its modest portrayal of female characters in manga or video games. I'll dig for more if you want.
Japan definitely has a strand of hot and crazy, but it's like, mandatory in SK, that's all I'm saying.
You don't ever find a Demon Souls or Dragon's Dogma in SK, I'm not saying never or ever or parts and pieces but they just don't really make the kind of conservative SP RPG I've found, even though I think they might be pretty cool if they tried to make one like that.

No, that's his friends from the anime thread.
which one is that? we link anime all the time apparently
While we're on that one, if you included me in the 'friends' count -- I'm friends with quite a few people. I'd be the nerd that reports the conflicts.
:Edit: since I didn't have anything to add to the topic currently I figure i'd say
I approve of that image. The thumbs up one, and partially the satsuki image.

It was going pretty well - lighthearted, even if somewhat offtopic at points. Kefka might be a tad frustrating, but while he has strong opinions, he doesn't really hold grudges from what I've seen and we're able to pull through some disagreements without us dragging each other through mud or make unnecessary jabs. Unlike some people who only seem to come here for that specific reason....
Satsuki from Kill la Kill. Do that.
Haha! You want to see Satsuki?
There's so many crazy things kind of unlikable about it IMO but a bunch of things to like also I guess... if that makes sense.

Someone gets it.
I'm still kind hoping someone will get over all this and notice Nina from Breath of Fire 2.. always thought that one was pretty cool.

Personally..
If most of her was covered up I'd like the armor. I don't have anything against people that are into that though.
Trying really hard to make it to the 100k club in saltybet is really rough.
Off topic, salty gambling is an addiction and I always end up in the mines.

Was kind of thinking that actually just as a regular student it looked just fine really.
Yes I agree, it's the perfect armor design for Dragon Age.
You know Bioware seems so uninvested in making and channeling the themes of proper high fantasy they might as well at this point.
Haha! You want to see Satsuki?

Well, I guess I don't have to wonder what a jetpack bikini catsuit all-in-one looks like.

Kefka you deleted the perfect post with the perfect suggestion just now, shame on you.
I'm still giving you all my Takarada bux.
I strangely liked that character during the series. This, this was just gold. Fry combined with Takarada hahahaaa

Which one was that? Well whatever. Here is a chibi Satsuki doll to apologize.

What is "proper high fantasy" and why should Bioware be invested in making and channeling its themes? I think we discussed it some time ago - DA an't THAT much of "high fantasy" to begin with. More in the lower-to-middle I'd say.

Well it's incredibly popular and sells a **** ton if you actually know you are doing with it, as Skyrim sort of demonstrated (even though it's arguably not quite high fantasy)
Plus I think I said they might as well just put a Satsuki character in the next DA because I don't think they're very good at the Skyrim thing anyway. They used to be more adept at both (Dragon Age: Origins, which yeah, I guess still wasn't high fantasy) Baldur's Gate to me was a pretty good high fantasy/dark fantasy combination, NWN at bit less but similar.
As to what it is well you know it has a Paladin going something like "In the light of the 7, in the fires of the demon lord Grayspear, I hearby declare my allegiance to the one true god, Divine Lord Ascendant," and then they pull out the Excalibur and it flashes super bright and all of a sudden their sword is flaming and they are piercing the demon's black heart and defending the realm from the imminent collapse of the universe.
I mean, Gandalf, is high fantasy, I think people treat LOTR as pretty much pure high fantasy.
I think really the urgency is just so much greater and the stakes are always much higher, that isn't to say it can't really co-exist though with other forms of fantasy I suggested with Origins or Baldur's Gate.
Don't remember crab guy with loads o' money?
The.... wha-?

Wait... so you're saying that high fantasy is incredibly popular if they know what they're doing, and you give Skyrim as example.... even though - as you put it yourself - Skyrim is arguably "not quite high fantasy"...
I... uh... I think I need to get some sleep ~_~....

Well yeah, not quite high fantasy, but it's infinitely closer to high fantasy than dark fantasy. Satsuki would be way more out of place in Skyrim than DA.
