My Inquisitor was dethroned five months ago.

Politics in Thedas are a deadly game. Rival factions risk everything to see their foes felled and their lands secured. I understand this. I respect it. And I never asked for much. I'm not in it for the glory. The constant remarks from my followers about how I'm their worship, I'm their excellence, I'm their salvation, are honestly more than a bit much.

But after ending the ambitions of the Old One and restoring some small measure of piece to the South, I'd hoped to be able to sit down on my throne and take a load off. Alas, it isn't meant to be. Over five months ago I beat this game, and on that fateful day my throne disappeared. Stolen from me -- a stolen throne, you might say -- never to return. I guess it's a good thing I can't play Jaws of Hakkon yet because how would I judge anyone new while standing uncomfortably above a perpetually-respawning book? That's all that's left, is a book, where once there was the cushiony symbol of the Inquisition.

I don't know where it went. I have made many enemies, but would any survivors stoop so low as to such abhorrent barbarism? Why take my throne? Why not my life? There haven't been any demands. No ransom notes. Nothing from Leliana... wait, nothing at all from Leliana, because come to think of it, she disappeared too. As did Cullen.

Wait. Did Cullen and Leliana conspire to steal my throne?

Look, I don't know what's happening, BioWare fandom, but I do know that I want my throne back. Please advise.

Ha, you are lucky. I've had most of Skyhold disappear and my inquisitor fall into the void, only to encounter a singing hat.

Maker... I... I regret making this thread. That must be something else entirely.

Wow, you are unlucky, OP. My throne disappears once in a while, but if I pretend I didn't see that, turn on my heel and recite the Canticle of Threnodies backwards, it pops back up. Just like that. I suspect some dimensional instability and avoid sitting on it without saving my game right before.

I don't know how to help but that was a good read. At least you made someone laugh.

Have you read the novel Stolen Throne. It might give hints as to how to get yours back.

Ah, I see I'm not the only one with disappearing castles and thrones and guests and horses and things... good to know it's a world-wide conspiracy after all.

The Inquisition didn't own those things, they leased them.

Consider the castle for example, the Inquisition doesn't own that either, they are just squatting there.

In my first playthrough, companions would vanish after I got their final post-campaign dialogue. Varric was gone, as was the table by the fireplace. Sera disappeared from the tavern, Cassandra ran off screaming into the mountains, Cole...well he does that anyway so whatever.

I actually attempted to rationalize Blackwall's disappearance by saying "he's gone off to be a warden, but he's there if I call him for the party, ok makes sense..." well... at least I tried lol

You're not alone OP. I actually made a thread about it titled "I was robbed!" lol!

For some reason at the very end of the game, my throne disappears along with Cullen and most of my companions. lol!  It happens every time.

Jeff,

It will get better and if it doesn't, Shake up management again and see what falls out this time.  I still believe the vision and the strategy are sound, so the tools still need some work - its never easy.
