Are you referring to romantic-asexuality?

Asexuality is one of them, yes.

I can't click on Vick's profile anymore.  He's gone.   :D

I'm sure he will be back soon with new one

Asexuality is one of them, yes.

Not that I think Bioware should ignore asexuality at all, I just wonder how they would address it. Making sex a less integral (and usually required) part of the romances comes to mind. Thoughts?

Edit: I was thinking completely from a player's point of view. Do you mean the romance options themselves? That could be interesting.

That is one way, yeah. In DAI was the first Bioware game that had romances like this(as far as I know anyway) where sex was a required part of the relationship. So having it optional or that part left to interpretation could help with that for players.

As for an asexual/demisexual/etc character themselves, that would be nice as well.

That would certainly help yes, but it has the potential to come off in a manner totally different from your intention. Kind of like how if you weren't interested in Anders in DA:2, you had to be mean to refuse him. If you could explain that you simply don't have an interest in sex, and it's not an insult to your romance option etc, that's great. But if they simply add the option of refusing, I could see it sounding not helping. "I just don't feel like it right now" "I'm not ready for that yet" obviously don't work for an asexual player. Though, they could add the option of refusing anyway.

Actually DAO was 2/2/1/1

Yeah, I wasn't sure if she misremembered or if I misunderstood.

Sorry about that, but you guys are correct.  That was my bad.

It took him a month last time.  Apparently he's already back on the PoE forums starting up his nonsense again.

I'm pretty glad that other person is gone.  This has been a great thread so far.

I'm mostly in the same boat in that if straight women can handle an entire series with less options, then straight men should be able to deal with it for at least one game.

Haha yeah, those were pretty much my thoughts too. Personally I'd be fine if there was one option, if I liked it. But that's not fair, because not everyone will, and they try to make options so different people will like at least one. They try, anyway. Unfortunately, I seem to be the odd-one-out, as they have yet to create a romance that suits my preferences (basically a female version of Cullen/Alistair/Kaidan).

Wat?

That's what Andraste_Reborn was saying in Vick's final thread there.  He's been there harassing the PoE crowd because he doesn't have enough hookers to bang apparently.

@Banshee The gay KISA thread has talked about the very thing you're mentioning.  While the topic is primarily about gay men, the folks in there have been open to female options as well.  I'd love a bisexual lady KISA myself.  ;)

A noble Avaar Gladiatrix is something I'd love to see.

Oh yes.

That's true, I haven't really popped into that thread. I do find it odd that they haven't had a gay or bisexual KISA or either gender in three games. I doubt people wouldn't like it. I'm glad that thread exists, and hope they consider it for the next game. It'd just be nice to finally have a romance option :P Also, it doesn't need to be a KISA, that's just a quick explanation of what I would like. It's not that I don't like the current options because they're not KISAs, just that I wasn't interested in them.

Someone like Evangeline would be cool (I don't know if she's bisexual or straight, but someone like her who is bisexual).

Maybe looking like this?

She's like a happier-looking Lysette. Poor Lysette, always disappointed in something.

The looks don't matter too much to me, but yeah, someone like Evangeline would be pretty cool. Come to think of it, most of the current KISAs (including Evangeline) have a Templar background. Not that that's terribly strange, but you'd expect some variation. Only Aveline isn't.

They're the only knightly order in the south. Well, aside from the GWs. And given that Alistair checked both of those boxes...

Yea, but I think it's because of context of the game, I mean warriors in the Thedas that are seen as most virtuous by public seem to be templars, they have shiny armors and holy mission given them by Chantry. Also templars have been deeply intertwined with story of DA games so I think that's another reason why there is so many templar KISA's around.

In other hand gay/lesbian/bisexual KISA could be Guard, Soldier, Chevalier or sth else as well. I think Chevalier would be intresting concept for KISA and something we haven't seen much yet :)

Well, there are the Chevaliers too. But a character can have the typical personality of a KISA without being in an order of knights. Besides, I wasn't complaining or anything, just thinking outloud.

She even sounds disappointed, regardless of what she's saying, lol. One of the most dejected characters I've ever met, for sure.

The only problem with a chevalier is that we'd have to put up with a French Orlesian accent.

I can't stand them at all, personally. Plus, I really don't like what I hear about chevaliers.

From what we know about Chevaliers, they don't really match the "KISA" stereotype. They're knights, certainly, (and I'm sure many of they do have literally shining armour), but they tend to be selfish egotists that put personal honour above everything else.
