Oh you might be right. I just know that you can continue at least Zevran's romance without having sex even once.. but the trophies seem to be tied up with sex. Which is pretty akward.. but I guess you have to tie them to sth.

LMAO it's like the old medieval style of "we are married now so you must have my child right away" lol :D

Yep.

Oh well....

I would like more options for romances and how they are maintained aswell as how they end up i.e engagement, marriage or children.

I would like to see how a on and off relationship plays out.

A casual fling.

Or flirting with a woman so head over heals over you that she ambushes you while your sleeping at night lmao :D

I think the romance could be more engaging and fun.

Especially for a character heavy themed game just like bioware make.

Romances have become a big thing to some fans and could help the company make a lot of capital if used right.

Make them more story oriented or more engaging for the player and there will be generally more positive feedback even if certain other parts of a game lacks abit.

the hardcore shipping fans (just look at shep x liara or shep x tali) will say you laid a golden egg despite bugs and flaws so long their new favourite ship runs smooth lol :D

P.S could you imagine making IB your stalker or Sera or Cassandra? lmfao

Cassandra would be such a Tsundere :D

I really don't care about calling you sexist or anything else you've been going on about, I'm just sick of this inane attitude that becoming a fighter requires one to become more masculine.

Don't wanna start all the strong views again but I have a question I would like your opinion on (2 actually)

I am into mma (real life) and I hate watching females. Don't get me wrong some of their fights are technically amazing but I compare it to a horror show you just can't take your eyes off of....

Does that make me sexist because I hate seeing women fight and get injured?

And

Is a woman fighting and getting a broken arm,leg or nose still considered being feminine, masculine or neither?

Does it De-feminize her?

how do you perceive these things? :)

I'd like to have a romance that does the whole "no sex until marriage" mindset. DAI was the first game since KOTOR where in the romances premarital sex wasn't mandatory(not counting the chaste Sebastian).

I'm not opposed to that happening as an idea, but the reasons why would be paramount. For instance, the main reason people would wait in real life is religion, but I've heard nothing hinting at the same idea in Thedas. So, if they wanted to wait simply because they thought it would be more special, or to  make sure you're in a relationship for the right reasons, etc, I wouldn't be opposed to that.

The only options I can think of is if a new religion comes into effect or if its a ritual of the Qun.

Even a nomination for the next divine is ready to jump in bed before marriage lol.

And IB just seems so non Qunari so I can't take him seriously as a Qunari at all.

But I guess if your Inquisitor is a Qunari that kinda messes up that idea so maybe a new religion is the only way... or a new law thanks to the new divine perhaps?

My examples of reasons don't count for some reason? Religion doesn't need to be the reason. Also, there is no marriage under the Qun.

Lets not butt heads again lol.

I just thought you would want more substantial reasons that could be welcomed universally by players is all and you said normally it is associated with religion ;)

Tbh I know very little of the Qun and their religion but IB just doesn't feel like a follower of the Qun as he is just too.... common?

I'm not trying to. But if/when you want to have sex is an entirely personal decision, and if someone wants to wait until after marriage, that's fine. It doesn't have to be a religious decision, is what I'm saying. They can have another, and the player will have to deal with that. Or, maybe the player would have the reason.

Right ok I guess it could be character specific which helps define the character more I guess

Yeah, I think Hanako was talking about it being character specific or potentially being about your character, not a group.

Yep.

Nope. Solas too. Ge doesn't have a sex scene, and weekes confirmed the intimacy is up to the player interpretation.

I'd prefer a chance to have or not a sex scene by the way than not have it at all and having to headcanon. Not asking a porn, but a shirtless fade to black it would be ideal to me.

Being character specific like Josie would probably be best as some players will want the freedom of that choice imo

I don't know. I'm not sure that it matters very much.

If you don't like watching women fight, then that's largely you're own preference. So long as you're not using it as a reason to argue that women shouldn't fight or be depicted as fighters, I don't see it as a problem.

Isn't it usually (mostly) up to interpretation? If you took it literally you'd be in a relationship for a few months and only sleep together once, etc. I guess neither party was very satisfied :P

Ahh, where would we be without headcannon :D

Edit: regarding the walking animation: I personally am all for neutral animation, but that sounds a bit weird considering that nothing about the animation in BW games is natural :D

If their system is borked with frequent saving, then I'll just never enjoy banter. I'm not about to risk losing an hour of gameplay because of shoddy design.

You can save as often as you like... but don't load before you hear a banter :) But playing and watching watches is really annoying...

I am sorry for the next paragraph, but I can't be silent...

OMG, "sexist" discussion... please, get over with and grow... "sexism" is much exaggerated...  Don't see sexist allusions (? I am not native english speaker) where there are none. DSiKn355, I find nothing sexist on your comments at all. Women are from Venus and men from Mars. Accept it. We will be never the same. We have different body build, different thinking. As for "muscle" - if we were equal then why are sports divided? Because even the best woman (trained woman) cannot match top 10 or 20 or 30 men... This reminds me "pretty girls / women do not play PC games" :D Well, my husband never complained ;) I am proud to be woman and I am proud to be so good in playing RPG games ;)

As for "no sex before marriage", I disagree. I also think it is more matter of religion than anything else. Besides, it seems that BW looks on Warden, Hawke, inquis, Shep... like they have some history, they are no virgins. Which I don't like much (in some origins definitely). But it would be great to choose wheiter you will or will not have sex, but fulfill the romance. I really don't want to see in any BW game something like in The Witcher 2, I would be more sattisfied with fading to black as Felya87 said. We had far less in KotOR or NWN and it sufficed... well... not really... something like ME1 would be great. And definitely add something like inviting LI to your private quarters - none scene, just... black...

Exactly ;) We have heard only about Iron Bull beeing... active (I love that Cole - Bull banter :D).

But the emphasis should be on relationships as a whole. I love DA2 because I have a feeling, that I know those people... I helped Aveline to marry after all ;) But in DA:I I - as inquis - know nothing of Varric for example... In DA2 were personal quests really personal, not here. It seems that everything personal you learn from banter (= you hardly learn, if ever).

I play BW games because of story and lore and talking and building relationships. So I really liked DA2. I understand there are players (and it seems there are many) who play them because of combat (or what? I really don't understand), who easily leave for something to eat letting Solas talk about Fade or don't read any codex entries (heretics). The question is - is it really necessary to appeal to those players in order to have bigger profit?

I hope BW / EA will find some reasonable middle way in games to come...

Right ok

I guess as "feminine" is mostly used as an adjective we see things differently but it's good to see another's perspective.

I personally don't see women fighting and getting injuries as "feminine" just like I don't see a woman who farts in public as being "feminine"

For me Feminine is closely linked to soft, delicate and pretty.... Those kind of words.

@Ilwerin

Thank you very much :D

And yeah I too play BW games because of story and lore and talking and building relationships as I find their games to be very character driven so my companions and the interactions with them are important.

But I did feel this process was lacking in DA:I as it just didn't feel very focused.

But normally yeah very character driven stories

I think the word you're looking for is double standards. And before anyone jumps me for being a "feminazi" they are bad for both genders: it portray women as delicate precious emotional snowflakes that must be protected, and men as expandable unfeeling brutes, good only for physical labor.

Well i would call double standards the ones that say men and women are equal and that it is sexist to say a man is more stronger than a woman but then cry and protest against a man hitting a woman. If she is of equal standing then it should be viewed the same as a man hitting a man right?

Unless she is deemed softer, weaker or more delicate right?

It's a funny topic overall :D

Seeing this kind of debates is...entertaining, I'll give you that.

I really think we need a word for the kind of people that use that kind of logic fallacy. I, personally fully support equal right between gender, and all it's implication, such as a woman hitting a man suffering the same consequences as a man hitting a woman, since both cases classify as violence.

That's something that annoyed me a little, I must admit. In Origins you could have a very, very strange/hard to understand awkard conversation with Alistair and basically say you are a virgin (and I always found strange there was no way to have the option to have the warden say something about it when he want to pass the night with her)  But in DAI basically Ishmael take away even the chance for a little headcanon. (no virgin, if Cole isn't there). I'd like to roleplay a character who is not experienced, but the game doesn't let me.

Yeah equality right across the board.

Too many times have I seen that selective choice being used to go from equal to "But I'm a woman" (was gonna say less than but would have probably been lynched lol) when it benefits them.

I'm an old fashioned man in the sense of chivalry and being a gentleman.

When Training (mma) I couldn't spar with women and doing BJJ just felt awkward and wrong.

I mean Imagine I don't know the woman from adam and I got to wrestle with her and put my hands all over her body!?

.....

It just feels wrong to do lol.

To help with your headcanon; is it possible to headcanon it as Ishamel leaving your Inquisitor out of his statement or does he say something that would contradict that idea?

Well, if I remember correctly he is trying to find virgins to give to you if that option is selected so he may mean that as there are no virgins to give to you.
