'Disney princess' refers to a few things.

The duel with Otranto

The lack of a sex scene

Her foot popping when you kiss her

The overall sweetness of the romance

etc

It was originally used as an insult by some who didn't like her romance, but the Scribblers took that term and turned it from an insult to a badge of pride.

I see.... Good turn around I guess.

one to kick the haters in the balls with lol :D

So Josie's romance is more for the "innocent" fans I guess, probably BW trying to cater to a younger audience maybe? ^_^

I guess the lack of sex scene is the main complaint some people have (males probably right ladies? ;) lmao)

Personally I find that a pretty lame complaint. Ideally though, I'd like a scene like Cullen's which isn't explicit, but is still there. And an option not to have a scene, too.

I caught her with her love of Varric's (presumably) cheesy romance novel, but I've never had poetry come up.  There is a scene in the romance where she's reading poetry for the male PC.  The romance novel scene happens no matter what, provided you do the quest of course.

Hanako explained it, but I remembered why that sounded familiar. You can tease her while she's writing a report about her writing love poetry or something of the like. It was funny.

Or if Otranto was a childhood friend she got arranged to marry but gets killed by someone from Cory's forces

That would some classic Disney drama lol

(I hope someone knows which movie I'm referencing :P)

Yep. B)

I doubt its them trying to cater to a younger audience when this is the most mature game they've put out yet. It's there because the writer wanted to do that story. She did an explicit romance last time with Liara in ME3 so wanted to do one where the level of physical intimacy is ambiguous.

To which I'm thankful since it's the first time it's been possible(not counting Sebastian) since KOTOR to have a romance without sex being mandatory.

How about an evil wizard and his dragon trying to destroy/rule the world?

Hmmm? How was that done? in a bedroom and fade to black with a "wake up in bed" scene?

They made out on a table and the scene skipped to the IQ getting dressed while Cullen lay in bed nude

Really? Pocahontas?

Of all the Disney movies, you choose the one that signaled the beginning of their decline to defend classic Disney with? :P

What aspect of it do you call mature?

Because I personally found nothing mature about the writing or any the events really.

It's trying to be more politically correct with the "fully gay" thing they are trying but I wouldn't find anything really mature as such.

 Mix that with Dances with Wolves and that sounds like Avatar.  Has anyone seen it within the last year or so?  Let's just say that I think Ghostbuster's special effects held up better.

Nah, that was Ferngully: The Last Rainforest and Dances With Wolves that inspired Avatar.

That doesn't look real, no offense.  I'm serious too.  I noticed the comparison between Avatar and Dances with Wolves when I saw the movie.

http://herocomplex.l...is-gimcrackery/

GB: There’s also maybe some heritage linking it to “Dances With Wolves,” considering your story here of a battered military man who finds something pure in an endangered tribal culture.

JC: Yes, exactly, it is very much like that. You see the same theme in “At Play in the Fields of the Lord” and also “The Emerald Forest,” which maybe thematically isn’t that connected but it did have that clash of civilizations or of cultures. That was another reference point for me. There was some beautiful stuff in that film. I just gathered all this stuff in and then you look at it through the lens of science fiction and it comes out looking very different but is still recognizable in a universal story way. It’s almost comfortable for the audience – “I know what kind of tale this is.” They’re not just sitting there scratching their heads, they’re enjoying it and being taken along. And we still have turns and surprises in it, too, things you don’t see coming. But the idea that you feel like you are in a classic story, a story that could have been shaped by Rudyard Kipling or Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Gah, I should just leave you all be.  Sorry for the derail.  Oh and real quick: Ferngully was 20th Century Fox.  For me, it started to go downhill about the time they decided to do the Beauty and the Beast Holiday special.  It was downhill for awhile until Princess and the Frog.

Speaking of, apparently the/one of the villain/s of Avatar 2-4 is going to be Colonel Miles Quaritch. That guy is invincible.

I liked Dances with Wolves, and it didn't try to tell me to paint with all the colors of the wind.   :P

More on topic, I like some of the suggestions about Josie.  I was an early fan of hers, still am, I just don't spend much time in fan threads lately.  I would have liked to have see another side of her.  You know, that wouldn't be a bad DLC idea.  I wasn't thinking about a romance DLC persay, but more of a DLC that has the advisers getting more involved.  Give us a chance to get to know Josie a little more than just her than the little bits we've seen so far.  Cullen and Leliana got a lot of character development in previous games, but Josie is brand new.  I wouldn't want to see a completely different side to her, but a DLC to show more of her personality would work well.  One of my favorite moments in Wicked Hearts was the conversation between Josie and her sister, and seeing Josie actually get flustered.

"She still plays with her doll collection when no one is looking!"

I think a DLC that covers a back story of the cast during some kind of event that happened between DA2 and DAI would probably help "flesh out" the cast more for players to feel more connected.

The only reason I chose Cassandra both times as a LI is because I felt more connected with her due to her movie and getting a glimpse of her in DA2 (which she looked better in imho)

Varric of course is known from DA2 but the others are new and just didn't get enough time or info given to help solidify them in the players minds to be able to connect with them.
