Guess we'll have to wait another month for it. ![]()
Still not total confirmation, unless you trust Gamestop, but likely.
Wait, I thought the date for JoH on the consoles were May already?
...WOW, BIOWARE...Just, wow...
Cool. I'll definitely be finished with my current playthrough before then, which I actually like as I can save all the DLC for an eventual third play. ![]()
Cool. My controller and ps3 will be ready
I'm honestly surprised that there is such a delay between the release dates! I feel like many people are going to be busy with The Witcher when this finally comes out, and that they're going to decide to wait until it goes on sale to drop the extra cash. i'm on Xbox One, so I'm waiting for the next expansion now... Oh well, here I come Geralt!!!
Huh...well, that's genius on their part. Or, rather, not. I've said it before, that is a busy time of year. I'm curious though...who actually SET that date? EA? Or Microsoft? Not everyone has a huge amount of disposable income. Witcher 3 (which is billed as having a nice amount of FREE DLC and two large expansions that are supposed to be reasonably priced), Arkham Knight (though lets not talk about ITS DLC) and...oh yeah, SUMMER! I don't see this as a date to maximize sales. If this was EA, it was a boneheaded move. If it was Microsoft, it was a pure shot at non-Xbox One customers in order to straight out spit in their faces for NOT purchasing the XBone.
I'm torn on this. I'm quite interested in DAI...but giving my money for a product when I seriously disagree with everything surrounding it? On one hand, I want to send a statement that I disapprove...yet I also don't want to punish Bioware for getting caught in a policy it seems they had little hand in making. Of course, it seems moot as I will not have the funds at the time of its release to actually purchase it. Will I later? I don't know...I may get caught up in other things, and not remember until the NEXT major piece of DLC is released...and if it is also timed? No...I won't get it.
Yes, I'm one consumer...but how many others MIGHT agree? Time...and sales...will tell...
I think many people will not buy it ... because of The witcher 3
Quick question for those who played this DLC,
without spoilers, what exactly do I need to do to start this DLC? and is it possible to play it after finishing the main story-line?

There's the usual war table mission to open the area and if I'm not wrong, it's playable even after the main story-line is done. I had a 7th PT that I didn't finish so I just simply did the DLC in the sequence. I heard it's around level 20 so I went there at 23 and popped up to 26 by the time I finished it.
Jeezus.
The end of the month? When was Hakkon released for PC and X Bone? That's practically a 2 month wait, not one.
Scratch that. It will be 2 months. Damn it all if they keep doing this for all the DLC.
Nice BW, let me show you my support and appreciation by not buying the DLC until I have finished TW3.
what you people have to realize its not Bioware that is delaying the release, but Xbox(microsoft) and Ps4(sony) that make the delays from original release(aka PC).
if you want to grief a company on that note, throw it towards the console companies, still not sure to this day why they force Gaming companies a wait to release...

They made a timed exclusive deal for some extra cash, how is that Sonys fault?
The loss in sales because so many of us will have moved on to other games by then will be punishment enough I would think. Maybe they break even - money from micosoft will cover lost revenue from PS4 Witcher fans.Okay, I will play Witcher 3 around that date. So no time for buy and play JoH.
Also I am still angry about that stupid Microsoft deal. Maybe I'll buy the DLC when it's on sale.
I really hope your responsible managers will see that's a bad idea to punish the majority of your customers for some extra $.
If this means that they won't greenlight some of the upcoming DLCs due to the boycott of many PS4 gamers that's an even worse decision but a sacrifice for the future games and a signal to stop those deals.
I still hope we will get an full size expansion and that this is not part of that f... time exclusive deal.
I've no plans to buy Witcher 3 myself but it seems like a wasted opportunity to sell JoW after it's release rather than before when gamers are itching for something to keep them busy while they wait.
