Quick question for those who played this DLC,

without spoilers, what exactly do I need to do to start this DLC? and is it possible to play it after finishing the main story-line?

It's best to be at a high level to deal with the dlc. it's mostly an end game/post game dlc.

If getting the dlc as early as possible is a huge deal for people maybe they should have bought an Xbox 1.

Right now I can't afford an Xbox One or a PS4, and other than DA:I and the remastered editions of Tomb Raider and Saints Row IV I haven't seen any other games on either platform that I want to play that I don't already have on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

I hope that was some check they got for this nonsense.

Two months is too long.

It must have been. Otherwise I doubt EA would have taken the deal. Though the devs themselves didn't sound too enthusiastic about it, so I doubt they had any voice in this.

I don't know why this made me laugh, but it did. Ah.

Anyway, since I'm planning on taking a break from DAI in a couple of playthroughs, I doubt I'd be booting it back up just so can play that dlc with several characters one after the other. Probably wait until another story dlc is out and I feel like a fresh playthrough.

Sorry BW the 19th is the beginning of the the end for my free time dedicated to gaming. TW3 is getting released and there is no way i'm going to play your old DLC so I won't purchase it.

Next time don't do timed exclusives I'm not a second rate consumer. Thank you.

I'm not surprised. I figured that if it was before the end of May, they would have announced a date before this.

I hoped I was wrong, though. I'm definitely not feeling like a valued customer, but that's been the case for awhile so my reaction is just a shrug at this point. I wish I could have been excited about this DLC, but we've been jerked around too much for that.

Jeez, the impatience ...

Try having to wait six months for a Skyrim DLC for the PS3 that had been released on the Xbox and PC. So we had to wait a whole two months. Big friggin' deal.

You would be right if other RPGs namely TW3 wouldn't get out in the same month. Time is a limited resource and new games comes out. The competition for my attention/time and money is high...is just the way things are.

I've been in a similar crummy situation, having to wait on access to dlc that others were already engaged in. Not a winning scenario by any stretch of the imagination (despite what the game developers tell themselves).

I did get access to Jaws of Hakkon the day that it became available, and for those who were forced to wait and yet still intend to purchase the dlc; it is worth the money and the wait.

That being said, I will be enjoying the Witcher 3 while you are heading towards the Frostback Basin, so I probably should have just kept my mouth shut?

Screw Hakkon! I need the emporium DLC yesterday. :( I am exhausted by playing my elves half way through the game before realizing I made his/her lips way too thin, or eyes too spaced. You can't unsee those things! Then I have to start over... My entire family can quote the first hour of the game. This madness must end.

EA doesn't seem to have any business sense. Releasing DLC to the platforms that have most players after the Witcher 3? Really? Week before would've made sense.

Honestly, I'm ok with the wait I'm just happy to finally have a release date. I'm still not sure what the point of timed exclusives is (because I doubt anyone is really going to go out and buy a new system to play a extra content a little earlier) and I'm even less sure why the release date of the DLC for Playstation and Xbox 360 had to be kept a secret for so long, but I think I'll still be get this DLC. However that being, said Jaws of Hakkon will have to wait a while for me to finish riding the Wither 3 hype train.

What bothers me isn't having to wait two months for something, it's 1.) discounting customer satisfaction in making this sort of deal, 2.) the lack of transparency and communication about what to expect, and 3.) trying to navigate the forums without hitting spoilers and basically having to avoid Twitter entirely for the same reason.

Still not total confirmation, unless you trust Gamestop, but likely.

I'm on the fence on trusting GAMESTOP for anything.

According to GAME STOP the PS 3 version of MK X will be out in Juneish while GAMEFLY says Decemberish. Who to trust?

Same here. I see roughly 5 to 10 threads talking about the DLC and even at times in certain subjects not pertaining to the DLC I enter I seem to get these "well in the JAWS of HARKON DLC this happens..." and I'm like "WHOAW! HEY NOW! Screw you buddy. I thought this was going to be a in general DA thing but if this is pertaining to the DLC mention that first instead of assuming everyone has tried it". I know this is the 'spoiler' section Lol (like duh I know) but come on now. I have beat the game sure but people need to topic subjects better

Another whole MONTH?!

Witcher isn't an issue for me but I'm seriously considering bycotting Hakkon (despite the fact I've bought every Bioware product in recent memory) just due the injustice of it all and especially due to being constantly jerked around about the release date.

Weird decision, from a business perspective, to release it after Witcher 3. Maybe Microsoft isn't giving them any leeway when it comes to their deal. Wouldn't be shocked if this DLC is one of the worst selling DLC by Bioware considering the delay of two months for the biggest non-PC platform and a week after one of the most anticipated RPGs in years.

Stupid marketing move...guess what... If they released it earlier in May before a certain AAA title gets released, they'd have my money.

Actually, that might work to our benefit.  If it can be shown by Bioware that EAs decision to make this deal with Microsoft damaged sales, it might prompt them to forego doing so in the future.  In fact, it might even be inferred that Microsoft did so intentionally in order to negatively impact sales on rival platforms.  While I'm not holding out hope for this particular piece of DLC, perhaps it will persuade them to focus upon fans and customers rather than make deals with companies who are well known for their money over loyalty positions.  And yes, THEIR money, not EA or Biowares.  THEIR money.
