So I'm browsing Facebook and in one of the DA pages someone says they have just been informed that Anders will never be in any of the games ever again. I need confirmation on this. Does anyone have a reliable source proving this?

Yea I know alot of people hated Anders in DA2 and we all know bioware caters to their fans but to be fair alot of people also love him and want to see him return. Including me. I've searched and searched the internet but haven't found anything about it, I don't use twitter so I can't tweet one of the devs asking. So I'm coming here as a last resort. If anyone has any legitimate proof I would really appreciate it.

Well Leliana could be "dead" and Biow**re decided to retcon that.

I don't think they have said anything about it,and I can't really imagine BioWare saying "Oh,Anders will NEVER be in any of the DA games again".

Ask for proof to the person who said this.

Maybe due to the fact he can be killed in-game but they did bring back Leliana which I think was a one-off by BioWare so could happen but doubt it. 

 

They could pull a Mass Effect that put in a substitute in place for people who killed him and people who didn't would see him in future content.

I haven't seen or hear anything like that and I hope it isn't true. I would love to see him in future games.

I don't plan on seeing any past characters again besides Alistair/Leliana/Morrigan/Hawke/Varric etc ... I think I read somewhere that Bioware wasn't able to add any more characters to the game. 

I didn't hate Anders, I actually really liked him. But what he did was insane and probably 95% influenced by Justice. 

No one should count on cameos, but they're always a nice surprise! It would be horrible on Bioware's part to count Anders out.

Well alot of ppl killed Leliana and she returned and according to the Anders short story he can't be killed while possessed by Justice. Someone (forgot the characters name) sunk their sword into him hilt deep and Justice was like "really, that's all you got." Ok not exactly I was being sarcastic but yea...

I could go either way on how I feel on his return. Would I be okay with him staying in the backdrop? Yep. Would a return be potentially interesting nonetheless? Ayep. But back to the topic at hand, I really can't see Bioware saying something like that, either. Best to keep your possibilities open, yes?

Zevran stays dead, actually.

 

Anders can 'die' in Awakening, but he still comes back in DA2.  You can 'kill' Flemeth, but she still makes it to DA:I.

 

Unless I see a direct Tweet from one of the writers that a certain character won't be returning in future games, I'm just going to wait and see what happens.

I doubt they'll ever bring back Anders.

And you can't compare Leliana and Anders situation.Not a lot of people killed Leliana....Anders is a whole different story.

His judgement would've be interesting especially if Cullen would've been involved and perhaps Varric.

 

Flemeth returned by outplaying the characters in Dragon Age:Origins & Dragon Age 2 she was ahead of the game and I suspect she still is even after Inquistion.
