His judgement would've be interesting especially if Cullen would've been involved and perhaps Varric.

Flemeth returned by outplaying the characters in Dragon Age:Origins & Dragon Age 2 she was ahead of the game and I suspect she still is even after Inquistion

Yeah I wondered about that. I can't help wonder if we have really seen the last of Flemeth or not.

Yeah because they are the same. If you didn't know that was sarcasm.

I was actually poking fun at the people who do actually believe it was justified.

The folks who can think killing innocent people with the snap of a finger by the hundreds to start a self destructive, pointless war was a good idea.

Your post was just a jump off point, it wasn't necessarily directed at you.

I have not heard any confirmation on that.

While I love Anders very much (see my profile pic) and would be happy to see him return (if he is spared), I am actually fine with him not returning ever again. In that way, my head canon of what happened to him will never be disproved.

thetinyevil reminds me of that one guy, whatshisname, very pro-mage, digging cut content as ultimate proof and an Anders fan.

What was his username anyway?

And if a slave had done the same thing as Anders. Would s/he be condemned or heralded as a revolutionary? If someone had another bloody war in Tevinter to free the slaves would it be called pointless self destructive war or would it be called necessary?

Can't remember. It's been quite some time since we had an evil templars vs poor mages debate where we got one person so worked up over it.

They already have said if anders is dead he stays dead but justice is another matter ,so no if he was killed he won't return and even if alive hope he won't retrun ,da need to stop with returning characters.

Also stop bringing back leliana as example they did that long time ago and got a lot of negative feedback for doing that ,as in dai import is pathetic they didn't resurrected anyone even corypheus was alive in da 2.

Hence the quotes around 'kill' in my Flemeth comment.  Basically, unless a character is killed/dies in a cutscene, there's a very high probability that they aren't truly dead.  At least, that's how I feel about it...

Stand in front of the rubble and watch people sift out crushed and burnt bodies and declare it necessary for some ultimate utopia if you wish.

Something to be lauded.

I won't.

There is no way you talk about reckoning that been in planned for ages and then get taken out, she has a plan and knew what the Dread Wolf had planned for her, I wouldn't be surprised if she has more tricks up her sleeve IMO.

He shouldn't be.

He should rot in that alley and be forgotten.

Not sure if this is related but I did some Google search and found this interview with David Gaider from a few years ago.

Question: "What effect if any Anders being merged with Justice is going to have on his Calling?"

David Gaider's answer: "Uh...interesting. I'm getting some...okay, it's gone now, I was hearing a mental voice there, it was weird. [laughter] There were some plans to address that but in the end it became very complicated. I think there are a couple possibilities. One is that the spirit within Anders can affect the level of his corruption, so it may delay or remove the necessity for his Calling altogether. Either that or at some point the corruption within Anders is going to corrupt the spirit. I think those are the two most likely outcomes. I'm not going to say which of those we prefer, because Anders can survive DA2 so therefore there's a possibility that we may need him in the future."

I agree, my point was that it wasn't retcon by BioWare or was more planned out than other "resurrections".

That's the ideal end for him, but I'm thinking BioWare is gonna make him head of a revolutionary terrorist movement that will clash with the Inquisition.

If Vengeance inhabiting Anders' dead body returns, I wouldn't mind it.

Yeah, I always liked that idea, as horrible as it is. XD But that Justice-is-another-matter statement.... I mean, come on, it could be interesting, at least! And it'd be good in that, whether Anders was killed or spared, you'd have their role filled regardless. The dialogue would be different, the model would be altered I would think, but both player groups would get an experience.

While I normally don't agree with you, I have to say that I don't like how BW's been having Leliana repeatedly pop up in DA games.  Same with how I don't like how Liara keeps popping up in ME.

I'm fine with cameos that make sense; both for the character(s) and the plot.  I really don't want anymore characters like Liara and Leliana, who're basically in every game regardless of what you do.

He's alive in my worldstate.... But I'm not expecting to see him again. Not Hawke. Nor any of the other DA2 or Origins characters who weren't in DAI. Especially if they move on to a new region.

I feel about it the same way I do any other character cameo. Story should be king. Only if there is a good storyline/plot reason where it makes sense. Otherwise no.

Anyway I don't think my Inquisitor would kill him anyway if she met him. I think she might find his situation too disturbingly familiar-- waking up in a prison with amnesia, glowing, and facing possible execution for an explosion she wasn't completely sure she didn't cause. Yeah...

Even if Bioware did say they'd never bring back a character, I wouldn't utterly believe it. Situations change.

IDK why people always complain about Liara when Garrus & Tali were far worse with the "popping up in future games" thing

As for Anders, i usually always kill him so i hope he doesn't appear again
