DAI was a success in large part because of Fan Service. I'll explain:

Its the truth. The Inquisitor (and Hawke) felt like NPCs because of it. Too few options for personality and choices, and too much auto-dialogue.

Hawke was able to do quite a lot of terrible things to people, of course without the random psychosis of the Warden.

Of course. Because you rapresent a perfect model of a self-respecting DAO/DA fan, right?
Besides, didn't you say you returned the game after a few hours? Did you watch multiple playthroughs to see everything and come to that conclusion? You sure have a lot of time to spend on a game you loathe.

You don't have to have a full meal at a restaurant to figure out that you hate their food.

lol

Try harder

The Warden can be ****ing crazy. Funny how people claim Rene-Shep is "a total *******" by comparison.

Anybody who judges a restaurant based on one dish (unless they serve only that one dish) is a moron. Honest reviewers sample all food, because even if one dish doesn't satisfy their palate, another one could.

You Can be sure you hate the food you ate. You can suppose all the other dishes are bad, but you can't be sure. Even in a bad restaurant you can find a good dish.

I miss the ability to kill just about everyone and turn your Warden in a psychotic murderous Evil Overlord. And they thought a Blight was bad....

My evil character worldstate has decreased from almost demi-Godlike status in DA:O to a mage that breaks the rules sometimes in DA2 and a mage that can do no evil in everyone else's eyes since she's saving Thedas anyway.

Being able to kill everyone in DA:O also gave me so much more roleplay ability. Every character was just slightly more different.

Well that's kind of what I mean. The Warden can kill people for no good reason. It starts to become a bit ridiculous that companions who would otherwise be sensible or kinder people would still travel about with this lunatic. If we're gonna have stupid-evil options, cool, but it would be nice if they could work against you a little bit, or have some meaningful effect on other characters that can't simply be overridden by substantial gifts, but they don't.

I didn't know SJW progressive-libs liked American Psycho. It kinda goes against all of your ideology's psychotic ideas.

The evil Warden was pretty weak in writing. I could never bring myself to be evil because it was just so ridiculous. Companions rebelling against you was a neat feature if they got too pissed off at you, at least some of them could, but in Origins almost every companion, if not all of them, were always much weaker than the PC. Even worse is how your companions join in without any hesitation to kill them, so it makes it even easier.

I don't think Bioware's ever done an "evil" playstyle well at all. KOTOR maybe, but nothing else.

So if I go to a restaurant and get food poisoning, I must go back and try every dish on the menu to make sure it was only that one dish that was prepared poorly. No thanks. lol!

It's not that hard to figure out if a restaurant sucks, though.  If you order something you're familar with, and it sucks. Chances are you're not going to be too fond of everything else, especially if you're not interested in anything else they're serving.  It doesn't take multiple visits to figure that out.

@KaiserShep, I wouldn't consequences for stupid evil actions as long as there are consequences and setbacks for stupid Good choices.

Considering I'm the polar opposite of an SJW Progressive-Liberal, it's safe to say that if you disagree with my political ideas, you're probably on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Bingo.

I don't have to put 80 hours in Cisquisition to know that, in my opinion, it sucks.

So I guess you think DA:O "sucked" as well since it also had SJW:Progressive leanings?

The metaphor was about the quality or taste, not the risk of getting food poisoning. You can get food poisoning even from dishes that you ate in entirety and loved, initially - sometimes even at places you frequently ordered dishes from (granted, the risk is rarer in case of well-ran restaurants, that's for sure).

Also - whether restaurant 'sucks' also depends on subjectivity of a client and not all of it depends on quality of the meal. One client will get a familiar dish and won't find it up to their tastes because of ingredients - or the way the dish is prepared is actually not something he/she isn't familiar with. Fine. But then there are also those who will flip the table and stomp out of the building if the type of breadcrumbs used on fried meat is the wrong size or consistency.

I help run family restaurant (with a pretty good reputation, I might add), so I know this happens.

But people here aren't discussing politics. Besides, someone can share some of your views and not others. People in the world aren't divided in two Black-and-White blocks.
On Inquisition, I never said that you need to play the game fully to form your opinion on it. I said that without Playing/watching it fully you can't say everything in It is garbage or fanservice.

You just commited one of the most basic and common mistakes the SJW tipically do. You're generalizing and assuming people's opinions.

The intense boredom and disappointment Cisquis caused me might as well be food poisoning.

Except we're not talking about politics, so I don't know what you types would agree or disagree with in regards to my ideas. What I do know is if you support "progressiveness" and "social diversity", you're someone I will never agree with whatsoever. So I can say, in a way, you're either with me or against me on some issues.

I played a few hours of it and hated it entirely. I didn't need to play it more, and besides, if a game takes dozens of hours to get remotely fun, it's not a good game.

Remember food? If I think potatoes taste great and you don't, then it's not an assumption to say you dislike potatoes.

If I'm anti-SJW and you're pro-SJW, I can safely assume you're pro-SJW.

But people were discussing DAI being garbage or fanservice, not social diversity. So you have no clue what AresKeith believes, and yet you assumed he was a SJW.
Again, I don't care if you think the game is bad. I don't work for Bioware, and you have every Right to have your opinion (beside, the game isn't perfect). My point is that even if you think the game sucks it might still have Soemthing you like, so your point of if being all garbage etc. Would be wrong.

What if I said potatoes are OK, not bad, but don't taste great? Or they taste great depending on how they're prepared?

I don't see what's the matter with an game being progressive so long as they don't glorify it.

The issue is that your assuming people are pro-SJW just because they disagree with you. I think you're full of it, and that's coming from someone that thinks SJW's are the filth of the internet.

Then she doesn't like potatoes. She just like french fries.
