Maybe I failed to read something important but, when ME 2 tells me to switch to Disc 2 when landing on the planet to recruit I believe the assasin and the Justicar I insert it and then it tells me incorrect Disc. Ive tried restarting the game and the xbox completely and tried launching the game from Disc 2 and it does nothing. Anyone else haveing this problem or have a fix for it?

Not the same problem (Yet....) but a lot of people are having issues with their discs. Which is going to be an issue. What is bioware going to do? I dont think I they could SW update a disc issue.... We'll just have to be patient and wait. Try downloading it to your HDD for now and seeing if that helps

Try installing disc 2 as well so it just reads off your HDD.

I've just had this problem too...did you ever find a fix for it? My disc isn't scratched or anything and disc 1 plays fine. My xbox won't even detect disc 2 on the dashboard...really annoying!!!

Are you having difficulty playing other media? Like DVD's, CD's?
One thing I can recommend is getting a CD Laser Lens Cleaner.

Its just Mass Effect Disc 1 that is a problem, the second disc works fine. It looks pretty clean but I'll try that, thanks. Anything else?

I've had none of these problems with ME2. Then again soon as I got it I installed it to my 360's HDD. If your HDD is big enough just install the disc's.

Same. I always install the disk/s to HDD before I play any game. It seems a lot smoother, xbox seems to do a little less work and therefore is much quieter, and the disks themselves stay scratch free. I too have had no problems with me2. As soon as I wish to land on Illium, it will ask for disk 2. I insert, and its fine.

This seems like a ridiculous fix, but I moved my xbox to the upright position (without the disc in obviously) and then it read the disc just fine, might been dumb luck but i recommend giving it a shot.
Also to the people suggesting installing the disc to the HDD, obviously you can't install it to the harddrive if the console can't read the disc.
