Level ranges for the relevant zones at this point:

Fallow Mire - L8-10, L12-15
Storm Coast - L7-11, L13-15+
Forbidden Oasis - L8-12, L5-15, L18-20
Skyhold - L10-12
Crestwood - L10-12, L13+
The Western Approach - L10-13, L14+
The Exalted Plains - L10-13, L13-16
Emerald Graves - L14-16, L16-20
Emprise du Lion - L16-19, L19-22
The Hissing Wastes - L19-23

I'd say progress through the zones in increasing difficulty order, and after you've finished the Exalted Plains, do Here Lies the Abyss main quest, continue with the zones, and once you're done, do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts and the final missions.

You don't have to complete all the zones before finishing the main quest by the way. I'd argue that The Hissing Wastes and Emprise du Lion dragons are best left for after the main mission is completed.

Eh. There's no real point in doing anything after the main quests are done. I'd suggest doing things like this instead:

- Haven

-- Hinterlands (Just enough to get 4-8 power)

- Meet Chantry in Orlais

-- Recruit companions

-- Hinterlands (Finish it)

-- Storm Coast

-- Fallow Mire

-- Forbidden Oasis (Maker save your sanity)

-- Ensure you have emptied the war table of non-story items

- Templar / Mage Main Quest

- Haven Attack Main Quest

- Skyhold

-- Do any new companion stuff in already cleared areas

-- Crestwood

-- Western Approach

-- Ensure you have emptied the war table of non-story items

- Adamant Fortress

-- Do any new companion stuff in already cleared areas

-- Exalted Plains

-- Emerald Graves

-- Emprise du Lion

-- The Hissing Wastes

-- Ensure you have emptied the war table of non-story items

- Halamshiral

-- Do any new companion stuff in already cleared areas

-- Jaws of Hakkon

-- Ensure you have emptied the war table of non-story items

After that you do the final main quests.

If you think about it, there is no real point in playing the game at all. Still, some people like to do it just for fun.

What I meant was that there's no real point when you are actually done with the game and the story that drives the entire thing. You're kind of done, the epilogue has already played. But if you like running about after that who am I to question it.

I don't, but many people do. "Why can't I keep playing" is one of the most frequent complaints for those games where you can't finish side quests after the main game.

In Inquisition's case I actually feel a bit more open than usual to the idea of still going. Maybe partly because I'm hoping against hope that there'll be official postgame story continuation. But I definitely feel like furthering the spread of the Inquisition is reason enough to do stuff here and there after the ending.

Also because there's no way I'm replaying this game from the start. So I have to tell myself these things if I want to play Jaws of Hakkon, etc.

I have three complete playthroughs atm.

JoH does have a bit of different dialogue depending on whether you do it before you finish the main game or if you play the DLC afterwards.

Well, have fun! But I can't even bring myself to replay the Mass Effects within a few months of their release, so there's no way I'm doing another Inquisition file before late 2016. :P

There is seriously no reason at all to wait so long before doing Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. All of the enemies are around level 12.

I'd agree with the sentiment that it is very hard to get motivated to play on after the main story ends. Without something substantial to work towards, I just kind of feel 'What's the point?' Now that doesn't mean there can't be any such content. Any content that is specifially created to be post game stuff, automatically is of interest, as are high level DLC packs (although in practice, I will try to wave them in at what I consider to be appropriate moments in the main story, rather than leave them for post game).

It just feels a bit silly and anti-climatic to have your hero Save the World on Monday, then go out and kill some bandits or collect some herbs on Tuesday, you know? When the main story is done, that's it for me usually. I feel like I'm done. I usually try to complete everything (or everything I think my character would do anyway), before the final quest. I think working it in earlier just to preserve some kind of difficulty curve completely screws with the narrative flow.

That's not why I wait. I like to have stuff done. Halamshiral is at the end of the game so I like having all areas cleared so I got a free run to the finish line with a ton of story content.
