LOL I just realized that I had it on Hardcore earlier - no wonder I was getting taken down by even just 2 enemies on Omega.
But... I think on my first playthrough, I WILL do Novice. Then Veteran

Before Normandy was super easy of course (did die once from that Mech, but that was because I screwed up something), but jumping into Omega on Hardcore... ugh. I think once I get used to it Veteran will be my difficulty once more.

I was getting crushed on Veteran as a L60 import Vanguard. In the early parts of the game I was literally dying instantly if I left cover even for a split second. I just decided I didn't care enough and swapped to Novice for my first playthrough. If I want a challenge I can do NG+ on Vet.

I tend to be poor at shooters to start, though. So it makes sense. I figure I'll jump up to Veteran or more once I get the hang of it.

I like to run head first into combat, and since im on veteran, it ends in alot of deaths. When I use proper tactics its actually pretty easy. I'm using a Vanguard by the way.
