Oh boohoo. The Colts just made the AFC Championship with one of the best young QBs in the history of the game. That alone guarantees you 10 wins a season and a top 4 playoff spot (especially with that perennially weak division.

You know how many teams would kill to be in that kind of position?

In my opinion. Its worse. Why? If youre the Oakland Raiders you know the season is over before it even begins. Every year I think the Colts have a chance. Just to lose in the playoffs. See having hopes then having them crushed is worse than having no expectations at all. They did the same thing with Peyton Manning for years. High expectations. Low results

Its funny you cheat in baseball by taking steroids and everyone considers you a cheat and holds it against you for your whole career. You cheat in football and no one cares.

When a sports league is making billions and billions, the only thing they care about is PR, cheating is just a minor annoyance when it's being perpetrated by an ownership group playing with their narcissistic toys, ie Jerry Jones, etc in an effort to secure a trophy that no one else cares about except the local fan base.

So what are you trying to say? Cheating is okay?

The only American sport I see the point in is NASCAR, and even then, Formula 1 is vastly superior in every way.

Where did I say that? I said the owners are ok with the cheating that goes on in their sport because the money they pull in trumps that moral dilemma in whoevers mind(fans) that matters, and they spin it all away with good PR, regardless if you believe it or not. :crying:

Cheating only matters to the people who pay the billions of dollars they rake in and how they Espn , ABC, CBS, NBC can spin it to their viewers in either a positive way with a hand slap ($100k fine seems to be the norm)   OR they pick a mook who can be a good fall guy. Either way, it runs it course in the 24 hr news cycle and is ultimately forgotten as far as the League is concerned as it's Party On and keep this gravy train rolling. :wizard:

You didnt get that League memo did you? B)

Oh, and when I say every way, the only way in which NASCAR is better is if you have a thing for boring circuits.

My point was in baseball if I ask non bias baseball fans who is a better hitter ken griffey jr or barry bonds they would say Jr because he didnt "cheat" by taking riods.

All cheating should be treated the same. Either with a needle or a camera. Its gaining a unfair advantage.

Yeah I know the owners dont care and are the real people running the sport.

My point is money trumps whatever outrage anyone feels about cheating, otherwise the people who run things would stop if they cared enough. So for instance, your vote(with your wallet) and feelings about cheating doesnt matter. Cheating in any sport has never stopped and keeps on going on as long as you dont get caught

I still feel like you are not getting my point. I know they wont/cant stop cheating in sports.

Thats not what I am talking about.

I am talking about legacies.

In 100 years when we are all dead people will still consider hank aaron as the true HR champion. Why? Bonds cheated.

While brady will still be considered one of the greatest qb ever. Even though he cheated too.

Why is cheating with a camera okay. But with a needle not?

The sports writers and Hall of Fame voters will determine that whether it's in your lifetime or in another 100yrs

Robert Kraft is Goodell's BFF or didnt you know that?

Because other teams do it but the Pats got caught. Getting caught cheating was something I pointed out above, and when others do it also but isnt publicized, then an infraciton like a camera is small potatoes when the the Big Man on Campus can buy his way out

The needle was something baseball had no answer for initially when the players union was always blocking any league efforts to clean up. No player wants to be the poster boy such as Bonds. The recent developments for cleaning up the sport with the prior drugs/HGH is always 1 step behind how anyone can keep doing them and escape detection. That cause and effect is a non stop process

Outta likes or would have for the goodell kraft buddies

I know stealing singals is part of any sport. The problem? I doubt NFL teams are using video cameras to do it. And if they are we dont know which ones or how much effective they are? I wish we did but as you said kraft got goodell to destroy all the evidance.

Lol. Apparently Dorsett is a burner...just like Hilton and Moncrief.

Maybe your front office should focus on the defense? Its not like the Pats rushed for 200+ yards twice against the Colts

It's like my Jets landing Williams when they already have 'Sons of Anarchy up front.  Bowles better show some adaptability to switch to a base 4-3, else this kid is going to be vastly under-utilized.  Then again it's not like teams spend 1st & 2nd downs in their base D every series these days...not anymore.

Ya, and if you have been following AFC East for instance with all the major players all switching teams and *sharing* any inside info. I wouldnt be surprised if some owners (Jerrah) would hire a NSA satellite over a rival's practice field to steal ****. I'm/We are gonna win the Superbowl and go to Disneyland!!!

I can understand what the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins all did: stack up their D-lines because the only way to have a chance of beating Brady is to pressure him. Bills had one of the best in the league last year, Dolphins reloaded with Suh and Wake, and Wilkerson and Richardson are beasts for the Jets

Just because "everybody does it" doesn't mean it's ok. The NFL needs to crack down on cheating of all kinds. All they have to do is destroy a few scapegoat teams and it'll stop. Like, get caught cheating? Okay, there goes your entire draft. All your picks go to teams you won games against. I'd probably go after the Patriots because that would anger the least number of fans from other teams and they're as good a candidate as any to punish.

It did seem to work OK for the G-men vs the Pats...twice.

Right its not ok, but the No Fun League will only crack down on it when the cheating owners themselves tell the commish to do so. They pay him and tell him how to spin the cheating away, or did you think Goodell earns $35 mil a year just for eating sushi in Manhattan everyday
