Some members ought to have a field day with this one but I'm hoping for some honest answers.
I'm running the game on an iMac through bootcamp and I use the mouse the computer came with. While it can left and right click, they are not separate buttons, so you can only use one at a time. To launch a probe on a planet you have to hold down the right mouse button and click the left button..... you see my problem. I'm not a diehard Apple fanboy and I'm not afraid to admit that in terms of gaming the design of the mouse is crap. I can get another mouse but I was just wandering if there is any sort of control workaround before I do.

You're looking for a workaround to get the game to work with your workaround?

No, there's currently no alternate keybind to launch probes. No idea why Spacebar doesn't work. Hell, it performs every OTHER action in the game.

I'm having the same problem--Windows laptop, but also a single mouse button. The only solution I've come up with is plugging in an external mouse. Unfortunately, you can't change the keybinding on the mining mini-game. I'll post back if I find any other solutions, though.

I have a wireless mouse, I can aim using it, I can scan a planet using it, but I can't launch a probe, nor fire while zoomed in with a sniper rifle.

ME2 w. patch 1.01 : CANNOT launch probe w. left mouse button; nothing happens. Left mouse otherwise works OK for shooting. Right mouse button works OK for scanning for minerals.

The RCW ME2 ModManager has a mod to change mining keybinds, not sure if it works with Mac OS. You can search it in the forum.
