Addressing small issues that suck the joy out of DA experience while providing alternative fixes for them.

Nothing genius, just simple tweaks with minimum work needed that could benefit the game in a number of ways.
Your own insight is welcome, of course.

For example:

1. Gathering animations - takes about 2-3 seconds to gather a plant/rock/etc., which after an hour of gameplay can suck the joy out of anything. IMHO, these animations are absolutely unnecessary and a huge contributor as to why players find resource gathering a 'tedious experience'.
Golden Tweak: disable those damn animations for good.

Why not make farming instant? Press X and 'bam!' it is in your inventory.
No more grinding. So simple and yet...

2. Area Loot - since we are on the topic of farming.

Another teeth-grinding experience which keeps you running around the area clicking L3, trying to pick up all the dropped loot and then waiting for the animations to end, so you could run some more (again, whyyyyy).

Golden Tweak: allow us to loot everything in a 5-7 meter area. Pretty self-explanatory, c'mon.

3. Cinematic dialogue - if I can't see the face of the NPC I'm talking to, I don't give a damn about his problems, even if his baby is on fire in front of me.
Golden Tweak: just add auto-zoom feature aka DAOrigin-style once we enter a non-cinematic conversation.
The faces are pretty detailed as it is, so no need to modify anything or add extra effects. Can't imagine any strain on the systems performance-wise either. Simple fix that is miles better than what we have now.

4. Pajamas - perhaps the most universally hated thing in the whole game, I mean, really?

Golden Tweak: (hopefully in the upcoming Black Emporium DLC) let us choose our own attire (and colour it) from some newly designed ones. Or, if we go the 'lazy-and-quick' route, just let us wear our armour all the time.

Otherwise, I'm sorry, but I just can't accept my char passing judgement on his enemies... in his underwear.

On the side note, Inquisitor is supposed to be the ruler, THE HERALD, in other words - project power.
And since none of the in-game armours actually stand out lore-wise, a proper Inquisition attire (you know, something that actually shows that you are the head of the most powerful faction in the game) would be nice.

5. War-Table Missions - the problems with those is that in order to launch them you have to sit through a number of load screens, run to the top floor of Skyhold, wait for another load screen and ONLY then will you be able to update your War Table. On last-gen consoles the loading can take up to a couple of minutes! Imagine running back and forth just to click another mission.

Tedious in almost every way imaginable.

Golden Tweak: why not use the functionality of the camps that we establish throughout the region? Give us some more incentive to explore! Add a table with message ravens and an interactive map, or smth. Let us update the war table at the camps via "Send Raven" command and maybe make the time for the missions to complete a little longer, as a balance measure! No load screens, no back-tracking for ages, another time saver.

It's soooo simple that one wonders how could the developers just ignore that?

6. War-Table Candles - another irritation.

You know what grinds my gears? Once you look through/complete the war-table mission, the candle-thingy related to it just turns unlit.
So wow, very awesome, much cool. Only I have to scroll through all of them again to find the missions I haven't completed yet!
FFS.

Golden Tweak: how hard can it be to remove the 'finished missions' from the table?

Clutter, clutter and more clutter. *sigh*

There, fixed it for you.

P.S.: some of the suggested things above might already be implemented in mods on Nexus. Unfortunately, I'm one of those stragglers that still play the game on PS3, so none of those mods is an option.

DA II had a loot-all hot-key (press R) and no animations.  If DA:I had such a hot-key, I missed it.  Anyway, looting was fast and easy in DA II.  (Can't believe I have to reference DA II as the right way to do anything.)

DA:O seemed to have easy looting also.

Your ideas are very good! Hadn't even thought of that. Your suggestions for looting are spot on.

The biggest issue for me is and always will be, until it is fixed, the 8 ability slot limitation.

I will just post a link to the thread where I suggested an easy fix for PC: http://forum.bioware...-problem-on-pc/

What also needs sorting is unique gear, you can craft better, more powerful equipment than that looted from a High Dragon. It makes killing Dragons pointless unless you're after XP.

These I agree with. We can customize Skyhold, and now our armour (tinting), Can we please customize our Pajamas. At least let them be tinted. I would love to see something where we can collect different base clothing styles like we collect decorations for skyhold and they become a thing under the skyhold customization. So y'know. An Avvar style outfit, a Orlais styled, chantry styled, inquisition styled, Pajama's of course would be considered basic, like how the absolutely gaudy curtains are also called basic,  that sort of thing.

As for the cinematic dialogue, just yes. I usually find myself trying to position myself near something i can use to force a close zoom in on who I am talking to to try and simulate this haha. It would make everyone more memorable, I think.

I also definitely agree that more armor styles would be nice. I'm holding hope that eventually a new DLC will bring some to the table with whatever else it has.

Ooh, great idea!

I would love to see Orlais-themed default attire.
With all the beautiful and cool designs that the npcs' have, it's weird why we never get a choice to wear smth like that.

6. Broken elf arms5tru36_zpsqcgsroom.png

you can see the problem here.

Golden Tweak- Add new armors and Skyhold apparel to hide this horror. I'd gladly pay.
