Isabela in the MP is Headcanon Breaking (or where the OP is clearly overreacting because he cares too much about Izzy?)

Bioware is doing a favor throwing a poor one dimensional character in the MP. I would prefer a completely new character indeed, but that is because I don't personally like Isabela. Also, I don't like the idea of having more human characters there, while the other races are very poorly represented.

Besides, the MP is hardly a big joke. Bioware's negligence towards it over several months might be considered a big joke, but nowadays things seem to be being taken seriously.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on the one dimensional part because to me she is more than what she looks like.

However, I agree with the second paragraph.

The MP is just as lore breaking as the SP gameplay of all three DA games

This franchise is now a mess...

Yeah... ¬_¬ They better not screw up her lines.
Knowing that whether you romanced her or not in DA2 probably won't affect her lines just... pisses me off.

Yeah I have great trepidation regarding this. Best case scenario nothing character breaking happens in this appearance and we get her in the real sp game.

Then why do you bring the argument that the game play is also lore breaking? It's a mess if it can't respect its lore and it's also a mess if it can't respect the choices we made as players for DA2 when it comes to bringing back Isabela in the MP.

The only reason why I'm so AGAINST her being a MP character is because of all the decisions we made in DA2's SP. You romanced her? Betrayed her? Etc? Won't matter anymore. The MP is lore breaking and headcanon breaking.

To be fair, a romanced Isabela is [potentially] temporarily separated from Hawke, and it was established before Inquisition that an Isabela that was betrayed and handed over to the Arishok escapes the Qunari, and who knows what the one that simply leaves and never comes back was up to.

I can't help but feel indifference to this issue though, because it shouldn't really affect how her story may play out in the future, since she's not a multi-state character like the majority of the DA2 cast.

I would not hold put hope of seeing her show up in SP. I think this is some sort of grab to get more people into MP.

Because the MP is the way it is for gameplay purposes the same the gameplay of the SP

We don't even know how they're gonna handle her yet in the MP, obviously they aren't to reference romances because it's kinda pointless for MP. Your only making assumptions over your dislike for the MP

My fem!Hawke sailed with her at the end of DA2 and I don't see how this will be handled in the game, at all.

They can easily do it with new characters over returning ones

1. Being in MP doesn't exclude her from appearing in SP. In fact, it increases the odds since they bothered to get her voice back.

2. Being in MP is a lot better than nothing, considering she'll speak and still have personality.

Nah, disliking the MP is one thing. However feeling concerned for a character I cherished in the second game is another thing. I see your point, but you don't really know/understand what I'm feeling.

Imagine if this was a paid DLC... Isabela is already considered a fanservice character for a lot of people, and I can see why they're trying to bring more players to the MP, however this decision is just terrible and I can't understand why they couldn't use her in a SP DLC instead. Some sort of Mark of the Assassin DLC featuring Isabela, depending on what you did to her or with her in DA2 would have been a LOT better, in my honest opinion.

This still doesn't explain how putting her in MP makes anything worse.

So did mine, but obviously Hawke's involvement with the Warden plot changed all that, and it's still up in the air provided she survived the Fade, depending on what BioWare does with the ominous hint of something going down at Weisshaupt.

Probably, but they decided to use Isabela instead.

Trim through the posts, I explained exactly why I hate her inclusion in the MP.

I'm with the TC simply for the fact that multiplayer is once again getting the more interesting DLC over the SP's extra content.

I swear to God Bioware you're making it really really easy for me to dislike you.

Knowing that the SP and MP teams are separate doesn't bother me that much, however using a former SP character that we know in the MP is just... weird.

Please don't use that card, because it's weak. Isabela is one of my favorite characters in DA2 and I have no issues with her in MP, and I think her writer is doing her lines also(?)

Probably, but they decided to use Isabela instead.

Yes they did, but she could either be a MP only character or they might have more plans for her outside of that

I don't get this though, i've dowloaded characters for various other games and part of them hasn't been on disc. Maybe it's dialogue or something, then again......Tallis and Sebastian were temporary/permanent DLC characters. Maybe the game is designed in a way that stops them from adding her to SP.....

Yep at least seemed to imply she'd be making her way to Weisshaupt, which made me feel better after how poorly the hawke romanced dialogue was handled earlier in DAI.
