I've gathered a lot of goodies this weekend,its like there was a sale on in Val Royeaux's jewelery stores, I have rings for everything now, even managed to get 2 of the fables Thousand Cuts rings, unless Isabela can make use if these I am not sure what to do with them..
Plenty of nice other bits too, I feel there has been a good improvement on rare/purple drops..
 
Was thinking that perhaps they could make it so the weapon you use matches your level character, basically means that you wont have a level 1 walking round with a massively over powered weapon..  
Bit like in SP where you need to be a certain level before you can use a particular weapon..  
 
I tend to gear 'down' when I start a new run with a character and don't use higher level weapons until I get to threatening or peri.. I find I get more use out of low level purples, a lot of them have great side effects but only really have a place in Routine..

You jumping thru hoops and loops to get some fun out of a game isn't a solution... Fixing the problem at the source is THE solution. Please refrain from suggesting something as awful as that! If I'm forced to play with low level items, I'll just quit! I spent enough time with the abysmal loot system to acquire some good items, I'll never be bored enough to go thru a second run of that hell...

Perhaps I've been lucky but bet you have items I'd like as well..like a PBTM or Griffin bow?

Compared to all the stuff you've obtained, a Griffon bow is useless.

Except for those without the Heal on Kill Accessory. . . That's a game changer, so is critical bonus damage, and superb cooldown & stamina amulets. Occasionally skill rings (wall of fire / static cage, etc) but most skill rings are garbage.

Personally I just need a few accessories + dagger weapons, and the occasional high end armor upgrade. High end being those +16 stat upgrades that I've only heard about.

This. My 2% HoK makes a significant difference. I'm not being sarcastic, it can genuinely mean the difference between having to chug a potion or saving it for the zone 5 archer clusterf*ck. I can only imagine how amazing 10% HoK feels.

I can't recall the exact split between each item type but how would everyone rank their needs for high end items?

For example:
40% weapons
40% accessories
10% armor upgrades
5% runes
5% armors

 

Sounds about right for me. Maybe more of a bump on accessories because I'm still really coveting a Heal on Kill ring of any flavor, and there's some ability rings that would be super nice to have one day.

 

Definitely still in need of several high-end weapons (Caliban and Sulevin Blade immediately come to mind), but not sure if increasing purple weapon drops just means I'll end up salvaging the 18,000th Perseverance bow I've seen.

I am holding all of my gold until tomorrow morning. I was already starting to see much better drops out of loot chests (behind doors). I hope im not sorely disappointed when I blow my wad tomorrow. I hope at least i get some regen potions. I'm all out.

 

On a semi-unrelated note, I remember someone mentioning the possibility of maybe adding class specific chests in the store. PLEASE DO THIS. Even if its Rogue/Warrior/Mage. That way we can hunt for specific things or find a way to pick which salvage material you get. Two birds with one stone.

This, in a nut shell. I am almost evenly split at this time, with a need for:

 

Weapons: Caliban, Sulevin, 2nd Red Birth (yes, I have mild OCD and twin daggers HAVE to match)

Jewelry: ANY purple HoK (got blue - one only and a grey, but +7% while sacrificing 2 ring slots is not what I have in mind), purple cooldown amulet, purple stamina amulet, Long Shot Ring

 

I`d rate them about even, as I have enough runes and mats to cover the 5%... I could use 2-4 more armor upgrades, in the form of +32% fire and spirit resists, but they won`t ever go above 5% as a "need" basis.

 

I am at 937k gold fully spent, so I am entitled, even if only in my own mind, to have EVERYTHING at this point.

Maybe if armors were removed completely but runes and accessories each bumped up by 2.5%? Runes are a good source of crafting materials so it would be slightly easier to get materials for those armors. Rings and such often give cloth as well.

 

Or maybe something along the lines of:

35% weapons

35% accessories

15% upgrades

15% runes

 

Would that be too much runes and upgrades? 5% could be taken away from runes and put to weapons. Or put runes at 5% and weapons/accessories at 40. IDK, just throwing out ideas here.

Has anyone actually received a multiple of caliban or sulevin blade?  Just curious to see if anyone has seen this actually drop multiple times.  As for me, I like the balance of weapons and accessories taking precedence over other potential finds in the chests. If these drops are easy to manipulate, I wonder if a bump in character armor drops around DLC releases would be something of preference within the community.

I have seen 0 Caliban and only 1 sulevin.

I just make up for the lack of Caliban with my 48 versions of the Parthinan bow, or whatever that thing is called.  My crafters are getting sick of me hauling in another 4 or 5 per week.

To be fair, armor in perilous is more cosmetic than functionally useful for the Reaver. It is pretty much just wasted materials crafting them, only removing a tiny portion of potential slots from the loot table.

It's not cosmetic when it boosts the confidence!

With just over 400k in, I have had 4 Calibans drop. Fury of the Veil x2, March of the Everlasting, 10% cooldown amulet, 3 HoK 5% rings, superb belt of health. A ton of ability rings and belts. I think I've salvaged 6 or 7 griffons, occasionally one has a higher dps so I rune it and salvage on. I've yet to see a Sulevein or a purple dagger worth a darn. From the looks of the forums I won the RNG lottery.

Both Caliban and sulevin over here, no multiples of either. Come to think of it I haven't gotten duplicates of most high lv uniques. Have pretty much every weapon and accessory in the game so I've been pretty lucky. Got like half a mil saved up for tomorrow too lol.

Depends if you bought some with Platinum as that would increase your equipment level. I can tell you the number would be difficulty to read and seem like an error. And just in case you thought I was serious about the Raider swords. If I had that power my account would have 4 Calibans too!
