Has anyone actually received a multiple of caliban or sulevin blade?  Just curious to see if anyone has seen this actually drop multiple times.  As for me, I like the balance of weapons and accessories taking precedence over other potential finds in the chests. If these drops are easy to manipulate, I wonder if a bump in character armor drops around DLC releases would be something of preference within the community.

 

 

It has been a while, but I think I have received at least 3 Sulevin blade, but 0 Caliban.

Depends if you bought some with Platinum as that would increase your equipment level.

I'm genuinely convinced that they trawl the forum to see how many times a user has written "biower pls", and then decrease your odds of getting something decent accordingly.

Let me share something that will make your screenshot life easier: there's a "share" button on the left side of the touch pad on your PS4 controller. Hold that down to take a screenshot. Or, tap it to open the "share menu", where you can change preferences as needed (such as tapping for a screenshot and holding to open the menu instead, which I find easier to use). From the "share menu", you can choose to upload a screenshot directly to a Twitter or Facebook account, if you have one.

 

Or, under Settings, go to something along the lines of "capture gallery" (doing this from memory, so sorry for not having exact name). You can copy the screenshot to a USB flash drive you can plug into your PS4. Plug the drive into your computer, download the photo, then upload to a place like Imgur.

 

Now you have pretty screenshots that look just like the game, rather than taking photos with a camera or phone.

  I spent just over 440k and have gotten 2 Sulevin blade (276 AOE and 272 AOE) no caliban though. I also got one purple HOK ring.

I spent 0.5M yesterday and got some mats. I'm at 1,9M now and still missing Caliban, Sulevin, 2. Red Birth, Thunderstrike, Emperor Shield, supCooldown, 2. supHoK.

Certainly no improved loot for me..

I spent whatever I accumulated for the DLC yesterday, about 50K. Did not have a single low level item, like raider greatsword, highland dirk, or mercenary blade. But I did not get anything worthy. There were some low level ultra rares and lots of intermediate items from level 12 to level 17-18. I got only two level 20 common items, nothing at or over level 20 was rare or ultra rare. Needless to say, everything was salvaged right away. As I got the bard armor earlier from a threatening dragon drop, that salvage gave me enough cloth to craft his advanced armors. Which is not that bad.

Are low level purple items worth keeping? I've been holding on to them for the day the loot system changes in a way that allows them to be improved, but I'm not sure that will happen. Or, would you salvage purples that are not as good as your higher level commons?

The colour of itself doesn't mean very much, it's what you can do with it.

 

Example:

 

The unique level 11 bow Bane of Red Crossing does c.93 damage with a 10% immolate and few other stats.

I would probably forego a few additional points of damage on a common bow to get the nice extra damage chance,

but by the time i'm picking up common Winged Longbows or Sunbows (c.114-128 damage) then that extra damage helps my abilities.

 

I probably wouldn't salvage it until I had a better unique, but then I would.

And always double check the new item isn't beserked or not working as you hoped, before salvaging the old item.

Yeah I guess I had all the stuff at 1M and got nothing since then

I saved up the 0.5M cause I thought there must drop something useful with that amount of money. It was a 3h salvage partay in spite of the improved salvage system.

Could have killed some dragons instead. Good luck to you, anyway! RNGods may be not so cruel to you.

Dragon drops are still rng unfortunately although the chances are better if you extract in perilous compared to store chests which still suck.

I've played DAMP perhaps twice as much as my wife, yet she has acquired two Superb Heal on Kill rings (got the second one just the other day). Yet I, have yet to get even a single one...ugh. It's like all of my luck went into making sure my first (and only so far) dragon weapon was the staff.
