Your system is miles below the requirements, so any symptoms it exhibits have no bearing on how a proper game computer works or doesn't work, sorry. Laptop video is also a dead end for upgrading.
There have been reports that certain of the wide screen resolution settings can have a similar affect on some combinations of video drivers and video cards. Try different settings if the symptom affects you despite actually meeting the game's real requirements.
Should that not help, be aware that the interaction is tightly integrated with the game's graphics, and you have three parts that must communicate with each other to deal with the graphics. The easiest thing to change is a video driver, and the past two years, a great many of the geforce drivers have been faulty, so it may take a couple of tries there, it that's what has become corrupted.
Next to video drivers in ease of installation is Direct3D. (And if you have either Vista or Windows 7, you need both Dx10 / Dx11, as well as Dx9). Get fresh copies to install. Then retest the game. Last of the three is to uninstall the game and then reinstall it.
