(to duckley) In ME2 and ME3, you had a code visible in a corner of the the character creation screen which changed depending on how you made your character. This allowed people to skip having to entirely reconstruct a character's face by simply imputting the code and also allowed them to share their code with others.

There will almost certainly not be any new hair, but we might get NPC only hair unlocked. Like the Cullen/Alistair cut. The description doesn't give any indication of new hair:
The Black Emporium expansion adds four high-level stores that sell epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and other hard-to-find items. Change your facial appearance with the Mirror of Transformation. Accessible from the war table, The Black Emporium provides even more ways to customize your Inquisition.
In that case I am hoping for Blackwall's cut I loved it since I saw it the first time ! lol

Yasss! That'll finally allow me to lower the nose of my Quizzy a bit.
She looks like a goddarn piggy right now. A cute piggy tho.

Luckily in DA:I we have the ability to lower nostrils which was the main offender here (like all ME games). On every character after my first playthrough I started lowering the nostrils on my character's nose to as low as it could go (without looking weird ei not below the nasal septum) and it fixes the piggy nose when your character is angry/yelling. ![]()

YES! That happens to me all the time too. I have the most problems with it when I recreate Hawke, for some reason. It always makes him/her look so snarly. I started giving my male Hawkes beards just to fill up those miles of space between nose and lips.
I'm still hoping this update comes with alternatives to the beige pajamas and they just haven't mentioned it yet... Hope is fading fast though.
As much as I'm excited about the mirror of transformation, that hideous casual outfit is the #1 aesthetic thing I'd like changed. I'd be happy just to toggle armor on. Like many others, I'd love new hairstyles, but there are at least 2 haircuts currently that I kind of like, so it doesn't bother me to look at my Inquisitor outside of Skyhold. The PJs though, there is no redeeming them. Doing my first male qunari play through now. I swear it just gets worse every time.

I wonder if there are level/quest progress restrictions? Or is the Black Emporium open as soon as you wake up in Haven for the first time? It wouldn't be that hard to farm 10K or more without leaving Haven. After opening the Hinterlands, 50k wouldn't be that hard. Just time consuming.
I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't open until after Skyhold, though. I hope that that is the only restriction.

I may be missing something but why are people expecting new hairstyles? We are getting for free in DA:I what we had to pay in DA:2 so there is no reason to expect more than what we had in that game, which is new shops with new gear, mirror of transformation, some codexes and the cool Xenon guy.
Expecting too much usually leads to disappointment.
How much was the Black Emporium in DA2 when it was first released? When I got it, it was free.

Ain't that the Maker damn truth lol, I've been wanting it since Day 1.
I wonder if Black Emporium will only be available once you reach Skyhold. It would be nice if its available from Haven, even if you can just customize how you look.

I think it was, and still is $10? If you bought da2 new or preordered then you got it free, iirc. How much was the Black Emporium in DA2 when it was first released? When I got it, it was free.
Edit: nope, apparently it's still completely free. Could've sworn I've seen it for $10 somewhere though... It comes with the signature edition or you can get it free separately, according to the wikia.

Though in one of the streams pre-launch Mike Laidlaw highlighted the sheer complexity of generating a face code, particularly with the grids...
If it happens, I'll be both surprised and impressed.

I bought my copy of DA2 sometime last year via PSN, and eventually started going through its add-ons a while later. It's hard to imagine it being $10 though, because that's the cost of Legacy as well as Mark of the Assassin.

Just did a quick search and it is indeed free. I could've sworn i paid for it back in 2011 on the ps3, but i guess i was mistaken. Anyway, my point still stands. It seems we are getting for DA:I about the same thing we got in DA:2.
Looking forward to it. I made a female human mage and put too much make up on her, so it would be nice to be able to fix it. Plus the new items and schematics.
