I'm looking forward to it. The dwarf I made has his noise too big, so I can file that badboy down.

So does this mean we are going back to Kirkwall to go to the Black Emporium?

Something I posted in another thread about the Black Emporium:

We know the Black Emporium was ready to play and was most likely visually done (we saw screenshots) months ago. So, unless it had an unprecedented amount of bugs to fix, I can't see a reason for it being released so late unless they're making some cool new things. I try not to get my hopes up, but I would be so pleased if they had at least one of the following:

- More hair (without sideburns and male-pattern baldness)/a way to remove sideburns...

- Being able to save an appearance as a preset

- More casual outfits

- Tinting for Skyhold outfit and possible new casual outfits.

- Armour toggle for Skyhold.

I'll be particularly disappointed if the last two aren't added though, because the mechanics for both have been in the game since launch (you can tint the Skyhold outfit indirectly on mage armour, so tinting works for it mechanically + modders have let you wear armour in Skyhold by switching a 1 to a 0 and you could wear armour in Haven, so it's not hard).

Also, I am a firm believer that any complaint is valid if a previous game made by the same company (or in the same series) did the same thing much better. That's why lack of good hair is a very valid criticism (among other reasons) and that's also partly why lack of casual outfits is another. As others said, ME had a few options, and things are supposed to improve as you make more games. I love the N7 hoodie! In fact, I'm wearing it in real life right now! B) :D

I think people are getting their hopes up too much. If there was new hair or armour tinting why wouldn't Bioware just advertise it?

Bioware could just clarify as well so people wouldn't get their hopes up. I like to have new hairstyles and pj's but it's just wishful thinking at the moment.

Seeing as advertising for the Emporium lists what it adds to the game I believe it is wishful thinking to hope it has even more stuff then what Bioware has listed. I do wish we'd get hair styles, skyhold clothes etc as well but that definitely seems to be something they would have advertised, due to it's "I would love this" popularity within the fanbase, if it was included. It does say specifically "change the facial appearance of your character" .

Yes I agree the wording leaves no room for error but I'm guessing people will be hoping and then get disappointed.

Ain't that the Maker damn truth lol, I've been wanting it since Day 1.

I wonder if Black Emporium will only be available once you reach Skyhold. It would be nice if its available from Haven, even if you can just customize how you look.

Shouldn't even be called the Black Emporium. Something along the lines of "not really black, but not grey Emporium" would be more fitting.

Great! I have been looking forward to this =)

Changing the color of the PJ's would be pretty great as well.

Hm.  I wonder if its four separate, actual, stores, or if the description actually means four vendors, all of which are located in The Black Emporium.

Probably the latter.

Great, I really need to get my mage a bigger jaw, so that the beard does not become unattached at some points near the cheeks. The magical beard I call it.

If there's no new hairstyles, then what is even the point.

Everything else.

(to satunnainen) I call my warrior's stubbles the "cheese doodle beard" because it look like he ate a bunch of them and no one quite knew how to tell him.

Just as an aside, why does Bioware have such challenges with hair. Its not just the new engine, cause their hair choices have never been great.

I loved the hair in dragons dogma - seemed more natural - less plastered- and had multiple long styles.

Mostly they just want to avoid clipping, regarding the long hair styles anyway.

Sorry, but that's a lazy, pathetic excuse. Did you play DA:I? Did you not notice how much clipping was ALREADY in the game? It was embarrassing.

Not only that, but they could add more shoulder length hairs or short styles...

It is odd that most of the available options are shaved, balding, or bald.

Those then get used on NPCs which results in a world where one of the most popular female hairstyles is a male military haircut. Orlais should be renamed The Buzzcut Empire.

I've been wondering why Orlais hates bangs, but it didn't really dawn on me until seeing "Buzzcut Empire" that baldness makes a certain kind of sense. I guess it's the most practical hairdo under all those elaborate hats and masks they wear. But that's me playing Devil's advocate. I, too, would rather just have decent hair.

Yeah, now think about how much worse it could be with long hair, if they have this much trouble already.

Not trying to excuse their hair design, just saying that's probably why.

Yeah, it's really annoying, and really weird. I don't understand how they made better hairs in DA:O/2. Do the Bioware employees go outside? Do all the women who work there have those cuts? It just seems like they haven't seen women before or something. Also, it results in a world where most of the females in Thedas have sideburns. There must have been a hormone problem in crops after the blight or something :pinched:
