How do I enable something that should've been included with the game ?

I've tried renaming "Masseffect2.exe" to UT3.exe and it doesnt even run when i do that....FYI i have the steam version.

Help...I find it retarded that this isnt included in the games menu system like 99.9% of every modern day PC game...including dragon age....like, seriously bioware ?

and where's the 360 controller support for something thats so clearly designed for a console....and for the idiots who say Keyboard and mouse is better.... Some ppl do use HDTVs  as monitors to play PC games  in the living room (more common than u think) Im sorry but RF Keyboard & mice arent better than a 360 controller for play on a sofa.

Some features of Unreal Engine 3 don't play well with others. For example, force Motion Blur in Borderlands and start up a cutscene. You'll think your videocard is overheating.

I can only assume some feature or quirk with the engine makes FSAA either straight up not work, or the game becomes absurdly slow when its enabled.

Also, changing the names of executables, and then passing it off as the dev's fault when they don't work, is retarded.

its called Deferred Shading http://en.wikipedia....eferred_shading
for nVidia cards youll need to can an ap call nHancer and use the UT3 AA profile for it to force AA on and itll work fine

I don't buy that anymore its 2010...like seriously no AA in a PC game...Doesnt dragon age use Unreal engine...you can select AA in-game...like ur suppose to...so strange that they allow it for one game and not the other from the same developer using the same engine...isnt that strange.

You  misunderstood, I wasnt saying its bioware's fault for not allowing the renaming hack to work, but that it was "retarded" that they didnt included ingame AA option.

FYI...UT3.exe hack works with Boxed, retail copies, but not the steam version, steam doesnt like when ppl play with .exe files....sigh

Mass Effect 2 isn't clearly designed for a console, I'd say the other way around, for a PC, and that's why IF you buy it for PC you have the Interface exclusively optimized for Keyboard + Mouse (more customizable than the limited one for Xbox 360).
I use my 42'' Full HD TV as monitor sometimes, and I don't have any issue at all with keyboard and mouse, they're cabled (since I prefer a cable instead of wireless ones) and when I want to play on the TV there's no issue at all.. try using a little USB hub with a longer cable :) (or if the house is your, pass the cables under the roof and have an usb plug out of a socket from the wall or off a stand, close where your couch or "gaming place" is ;)
If you want to Force the AA, atleast with nVidia, it's easy, just select the MassEffect2.exe and make a custom profile.. it worked flawlessly with ME1 and every other game (UE3 based) so I don't see why it shouldn't work with Mass Effect 2!

Adding me2 as a custom exe in nvidia control panel didn't work with me2 for me, maybe next driver release will add it.

@ LuPoM -
I'm playing it now its hardly "more customizable" on pc, USE/COVER/SPRINT all use the same key, its stupid,, isnt this a pc game? why can't i blind certain actions to specific keys. Your in the minority if you use a wired keyboard and mouse for a proper HTPC in a living room, that just sounds incredibly uncomfortable, can you lay across your couch and comfortably play MW2? ... but dude its a console game, they stripped out like 90% of the rpg elements and essentially made it a 3rd person adventure game...giving it more appeal to the mass market. Dragon Age is a PC RPG....where a controller would essentially hamper the experience for a game like that.... for ME2 it would be improved (my opinion) because of all the 3rd person firefights....its using a Gears of war control scheme.

@robevans89

have you tried updating to the latest nVidia drivers (WHQL of Jan 2010)? they also have a 3D profile for ME2 so they should support the customization too.. and besides that, try running ME2 as an Administrator (try the same with the NVidia Control Panel aswell in case)

@JOHNNYYARK

I might agree on the GoW style a bit, controller side, but then we got on a more personal idea.. anyways for ME2 I still greatly prefer the Mouse+Keyboard, and that's why I've ordered my CE for PC (which will be released the 29th and I can't wait), else I would have bought it for Xbox 360.. thing that I will probably do, in order to let my brother play it too!
