What version is Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition when you first install it?

Probably depends on how you purchased it.
But for the DVD version, it installs at 1.4 and you have to download/install the patch to 1.5

I was wondering the same thing... I had to completely uninstall/reinstall the UE twice yesterday, via Origin. The first time, I was prompted to 'update' the initial install, after which the version number was 1.05. During the second clean install, I was never prompted with an update notification, but that install is also version 1.05.
(And if I didn't have most of my mods reinstalled, I'd wipe it again and see what happens the third time...)

I downloaded the update and i can't launch the game anymore or find my data.

I don't use Origin - ever - so I can't speak to what Origin does. I'm just not that trusting of EA so if I ever get a game that REQUIRES Origin, it will still be used as rarely as possible!
The wanderer - were you using Origin? Or did you use the dvd version? If you used Origin, then tsm can best answer your questions
