I honestly can hardly wait long enough for E3 to come around. I've only ever seen it once years ago so I don't really know what to expect but I hope we hear plenty of news on both the next ME and a trilogy remaster. Both would make my year!

While I don't expect a huge, 30 minute gameplay event like they did for Inquisition last year, I do expect them to talk about the game, show some images, maybe a trailer or two as well. And not just CGI stuff like the recent Battlefront trailer, but more than likely actual in-engine stuff. This is obviously all speculation, but we can more or less make pretty accurate estimations based off what we have seen at the last two E3 events for Bioware.
I don't see the next Mass Effect coming out until the end of 2016, so next year's E3 will more than likely have the 30 minute-esque gameplay demos. Like the Redcliffe castle one Bioware liked to show for DA:I.

DICE never does CGI-trailer. They are all in-engine.
EA has a 60 min conference. No game gets more than 10.

If you remember, Bioware did show longer versions with a few extra details of the gameplay shown at the main E3 EA conference last year in separate viewings from the actual main conference. Some of these gameplays they uploaded, some they did not. This was all DA:I of course.
I might have been wrong on the CGI for the next Battlefront, but The Know at Rooster Teeths seems to have reported it as being CGI from what I remember. Would have to dig into it more myself though, but that is a separate topic.

It's in-engine, probably ultra settings on PC, 4k downsampled. It says "game engine footage" in the trailer.

Ah, just went back and watched it, impressive! I happily stand corrected on that aspect. I just need a monitor to support 4k. My PC itself can do it. I'm expecting the next Mass Effect to look graphically like a more updated and polished version of Inquisition.

Yeah, but that was the playable demo for media that they released and it was only six months before release so they had a lot of the content locked down by that point. Then they even did a special recording of that demo by Mike Laidlaw (I believe) who walked us through it and then released it to the web. The only real video that BioWare never released themselves was the pre-alpah video from Germany's Gamescon (and I am very skeptical something like that might happen with Mass Effect).
I think whatever they show us would be closer to the E3 2013 content for Dragon Age: Inquisition for at that point it was about a year before release and they are probably going to use more of the time for Battlefront and possible Hardline DLC since both are going to be released before the next Mass Effect game.

I'll take a look at whatever they show at E3, but I don't think I will start getting hyped until Bioware starts showing 10-30 minute gameplay videos.

They don't keep these things secret as far as I know.
If they were intending to show something, we would know.

Last E3 Bioware/EA was beautifull with the cello DAI trailer.
I hope something like that will return . The trailer itself? hmm, Mako, Space, music and a lot of goosebumps.

I love it when devs do extra little things like that during their shows, it helps give the entire production much more feels and an epic quality! Maybe for Mass Effect they could have a huge display of space pop up, similar to a planetarium? Then, after the stars illuminate the dark room during E3, the Mass Effect theme starts playing, and thousands of fans pee their pants in unison.

In-engine is very different from in-game. In-engine is basically just CGI shenanigans. Remember that in-engine trailer for Inquisition that looks about 5 times better than the actual game? Yeah, everyone was creaming their jeans over that, expecting the game to look that good. In-engine means nothing. They could make trailers in-engine that look like those trailers Blur made for Origins and DA2.

What I hope but don't expect to see is a show of gameplay. Based on the dev's tweets as to how pretty the game looks, how far along it is, and based on how well the mako footage looked, I don't think it's entirely unrealistic.
But yeah what date is it again? Omg E3 can't come soon enough SO MUCH HYPE U GUISE.

I don't want a video of Bioware employees talking about Mass Effect with concept arts shown; I want an actual trailer. Legion Swift (see my avatar) will snipe you to bits if we don't get anything about Mass Effect on E3 this year.

E3 is still a long way off, relatively. I don't think Bioware started dropping hints about last year's E3 until a week or two before.

That cinematic trailer for Inquisition may as well have been a Blur trailer since it was not reflective of the actual game at all.
Yes, it was. In-engine trailers use the assets that were created for the game. And then the inevitable downgrade happens because of the weak consoles. Just look at "The Witcher 3". Disgraceful graphics downgrade.
I prefer in-engine trailers. The ME3 CGI launch trailer had nothing to do with the game and the characters were barely recognizable.
The announcement trailer will be a cinematic trailer without gameplay. They might have a gameplay demo though. Maybe even on stage.

Inquisition never looked like that cinematic trailer. Even with maxed out settings on a monster gaming rig Inquisition does not look as good as that trailer. It was made using the engine but it was not made using the game's assets. If the game ever looked that good it would look that good on PC, but it does not.

No way Mass Effect '4' won't be show in full at E3 this year. It will be almost two years since the first teasers and it's pretty much one of biggest games that EA has.
So yes, I'm hyped.
I dunno man. With Battlefront III coming this Christmas (or rather November), I'm thinking that this might put a damper on projects. Plus, I'm thinking that BioWare has one or two tricks up its sleeves. I'm thinking that it could release the new IP and the other new IP (formerly Shadow Realms).
So, it could not even be talked about at all.
Good god, I hope not. Just warning ya.
