I find it depressing how underwhelming ME2 guns are in ME3 (with some exceptions, ofc.) I'm particularly salty about the Viper and Revenant.
I miss my ME2 Mattock!

I miss the YMIR mech introduction cutscene from ME2.

Classic power creep.
"We gotta make the new guns look strong without actually making them strong!"
"How?"
"I know! Let's just make the old guns into garbage!"
"Yeah!"

I get depressed every time I purposely switch to a kit to help team synergy, but no one synergizes, they keep using throw even after you just set off a biotic explosion.

Revenant is actually fun on the Quarian Marksman. It's still pretty crap compared to some other AR's and SMGs, but at least it feels badass and has reasonable damage.
The Viper tho
seriously, why did they think it'd be a good idea to half its ROF and magazine but still leave it taking like 5 hits to kill basic troops?

It's still one of the best AR's. Harrier is basically the ME2 Mattock, anyway, except you needn't get carpal tunnel to generate ludicrous damage.

It's usable, sure, especially with MM and a stabilizer armor mod... But still no where near as good as it was in ME2. ![]()
Hi everyone. Please keep it on topic and civil so the thread can remain open. Thank you.

I dunno, it feels considerably weaker to me. (Unless it's in the hands of a Centurion of course.) In ME2 I rekt Collectors with it left and right.

I hope QMR got the same message. How many warning points do you have now, Limbs?
... This is still on-topic, isn't it? Things you find depressing... How they've nerfed the guns between games is something we find depressing... So it's on topic?

Quite a few.
AIUs with sniper rifles. And TGIs with sniper rifles.
Literally every other infiltrator gets a sniper bonus. Except these two, and the huntress. Playing a different infiltrator without a sniper makes sense since there's so many infiltrators who DO snipe. Playing these two AS snipers is a massive "DO YOU EVEN READ, BRO" especially for the AIU since Snipers + Snap Freeze = The Anti-Synergy. I don't effing care that they're still stronger snipers than non infiltrators. It's obvious they're just using those kits for the Stim Packs/ Repair Matrices because they suck ass and can't manage without.
Basically, what I'm saying is "read your goddamn skill tree."

You forgot Shadows with Snipers
Yeah so? Shadows get a bonus on sniper rifles. Legit.

Neither of their other powers synergize with snipers at all better off using the vanilla human inf. Bioware should have given them the multiplicative melee damage bonus on rank 6 of TC, but then they would probably be ridiculously OP with a full melee spec.

TGIs with shotguns and AIUs with assault rifles are okay though, right? *ducks*
I had a really nice Javelin Shadow build.
Fight me in the thunderdome and tell me those powers don't synergize with sniping.

Do they have to synergize? It's not like pistols or shotguns benefit any more from Shadow Strike or Electric Slash. Don't pigeonhole this character into a mere melee kit.
I wonder if the mods use the same rng engine as the game's store to lock threads..anyways such a shame QMR, guess they're not a big fan of soup!
OT what's depressing is the humongous loading times on console,it takes forever and after to load and then I get wofp... biover pls.

Then don't pigeonhole the TGI into an AR build or AIU into a shotgun build... Honestly you can run almost anything on any kit and if you have enough skill it can work.
I was mostly making a point towards the person bashing TGIs and AIUs using snipers.
*edit you are right though I am so used to my shadow melee build that I have trouble even imagining the kit without melee. However, after seeing other posts and thinking it over yes the shadow is still suited to snipers more than the TGI and AIU even if SS seems to lean towards a melee spec.
Shadow with a sniper rifle is both much safer and much more efficient than the Shadow Strike build. It's not even a comparison. You can kill 3 mooks with a Valiant, before someone lands 1 SS.
Blame Biower for making SS slow and enemies psychic.
